When I was still regularly communicating with Steve Bannon, we discussed this and he thought a lot of it was resentment vs. Breitbart’s success (which has, in terms of “looks,” buried him I hear). He also thought Breitbart-—who founded DR with Drudge-—setting up his own site was a betrayal.

Finally, some of the BB insiders think that Drudge is just trying to strategically place himself differently than BB because he is losing.

Their is a bazillion reasons why Drudge isn't doing what he used too: No sources, lazy, just living off past accomplishments and add revenue, bored-wants to do something else 20 yrs now plus Monica, who know what his health is..

In this whole media thing, it's like Rock Stars IMHO, have a couple of big hits, make the money, live of the residuals and doing the casino / summer outdoor concert venues. Ya only got so much shelf life here, time to find a new gig and reinvent yourself...

This could have been (and still could be) a twentieth anniversary gift for him. He blew the Lewinsky story wide open (pun intended) two decades ago and could have a repeat with this scandal of larger magnitude. Baffling.

I got lazy and just got used to typing drudge. I am sure I will still do an occasional visit but drudge is no longer one of my go to web sites. I no longer trust drudge to be non-liberal in his stories he links to.

Drudge has been mailing it in for a decade already. Almost never anything there except traffic drivers for the very corporate media outlets we all have learned to loathe deeply for their lies.
