Walmart was set to face a discrimination lawsuit Friday after a woman claimed African American hair products were locked behind glass at a California store.
Famed attorney Gloria Allred held an afternoon news conference Friday.
"It was something I had to stand up for," the mom said. "I would like the glass to go down, and for things to go back to the way it was, where it's not segregated and everything is where everyone can get what they need."

Wal Mart executive #1:
Hey we have all this extra money sitting around, we should do something with it
Wal Mart executive #2:
I know, lets spend a sh*t ton of money and lock up hair care products to inconvenience both customers and store personnel for absolutely no reason at all other than we hate black people.
Wal Mart executive #1:
That sounds like a great idea, it is good to just spend money and resources on things that have zero opportunity to enhance profits.
This is Walmart being stupid here.
If their losses are so high at these locations that they need to put the products behind glass, they should not stock the products.
Managers heads should roll for opening them up to this kind of shenanigans by that communist Allred.
The shampoo is not segregated by race!! It is locked up bc it keeps getting stolen.
The “most stolen” is usually the “best secured”.
Tell me, are any of the Caucasian products behind glass?
Most Ammo seems to be locked up.
Not shotgun shells in some places.
High value items. But yeah, shotgun shells in the bird range although where I live the #4’s are on shelves not locked up.
I object to that.
Most of the Caucasus is now muzzie. Totally different Race.
It interesting. Costco does not have this issue. They don’t have black hair products. And they have far less theft. Razor blades are out in the open. The reason is because Costco charges a membership fee. It self selects thieves out of the store. It also self selects most black people out of the store as well. Not all, but most.
Witness the ad on TV where the WHITE guy gets tazed in the razor aisle when he needs a razor. It’s funny, but certainly easy enough to find a bunch of white guys to testify that their blades are locked up.
Case dismissed.

Oh, just remembered. No ammo at Cabelas is locked up; they’re all on open shelves.
“Many Drug stores do the same with baby formula.”
At least at one Walmart I know of, the ploy is that a person can was out with a case of baby formula and there will be no effort made to stop, detail or arrest them.
Make it too difficult to steal?
OK dammit...WHITE PEOPLE’s HAIR PRODUCTS.
Are you done with your vocabulary/spelling test now?
How are we supposed to jack this stuff when it’s locked up?
Unless they’re only selling 400 lb. anvils, every retailer develops and implements product-centered loss control policies based on which products either have been, or are the most likely to be stolen based on historical evidence, pricing and industry best practices, whether they be Democrat hair products, razor blades, Sudafed, cologne or $2,500 bottles cognac.
Would it change the ‘complexion’ of this lawsuit if I could prove that I also purchase Sulfur 8, Lilac Vegital and Afro Sheen?
As a retailer, to not protect one’s inventory against theft loss is commercial suicide. The only alternative is to not carry these “pedestrian” products at all. Does this mean that I can now sue any jeweler that I choose for keeping their merchandise secured behind locked, alarm-protected glass enclosures on the false allegation that they believe that I, as a white male. will steal their jewelry if it’s not so protected?
By the way, Gloria Allred needs to be disbarred and sent to the electric chair.
You missed the message. Walmart will rollover and crush Allred. They won’t settle. They won’t set a precedent. They’ll S.F. her.
Thats why i am a member of Harrys shaving club great durable razors and never ever have to deal with that silly SOP
