So I’m not the only one who saw the striking resemblance to effdot’s idiosyncratic expressions and dark insights.

And there’s the rub I see the elite accusation as spot on.
The other possibility and possible a more likely scenario is someone of inconsequential rank who likes knowing things that few others know, and must demonstrate his knowledge to display that he is ‘somebody’.
Such people usually have no position of real power and often see themselves as smarter and more clever than everyone else around them and people in general. They blame their lack of statue and success on the jealousies and lack of intelligence of others.
They use what they know to impress others and then sooner or later they run out of secrets and start making up things, They often make their fantasies cryptic or in the form of half truths with just enough to keep people believing.
Such often make excellent con men the news is full of intelligent logical people following such in business ventures, questionable religious quest and political movements.
Obama was such a man he talked a good game, spoke knowledgeablly and wise, but he never produced facts or words that didn’t need ‘translation’.
What he said would often seem to make sense, but then when you broke it down there was no substance.
Q Anon may very well be the Hero you think or the goat I do or even somewhere in between.
That said I now feel like a man attending a service at a church of a theology I do not believe. So I think it best I not ‘attend’ any more services and will refrain from posting on such threads.
I truly hope that Q Anon does turn out to be the hero you believe and should that happen you have my solemn word I will be the first to say I was wrong because the Lord knows how much we need Heroes right now.

I wish it were that easy, however, the players are many and they are worldwide.
I’ll say this once for the people who seem amazingly determined to visit “Q” threads for the sole purpose of deriding them.
One, normal people do not go trolling through threads looking to hatepost. It’s the online equivalent of standing around with pre-printed placards — it both marks the bearer as someone with too much spare time or paid, and by the consistency of the hateposts reveals more about the poster than the subject.
(Note: FR keeps your post history, and you can’t hide from it).
Two: There are plenty of false starts, disinformation, or just hopeful thinkers in the world, doubly so online. I myself have been waiting for the ‘imminent’ collapse of the Clintonoid machine since “a middle class tax cut” campaign turned into the largest tax hike in history between election day 1992 and inauguration day 1993. So, I’m kinda beyond my patience with “it’s happening” and “tick tock” and all that — but the corruption of our nation didn’t happen in one “New World Order” or “take things from you for the common good” speech but has been building for far longer. Accordingly, I don’t expect unraveling it is going to be like solving a convenience story robbery.
Three: Re: Q (at last, to the point!). Let’s take as postulate that Trump actually means to ‘drain the swamp.’ That assumes that he knows there’s a swamp, and I’d find it difficult to believe that FReepers don’t also know it. It’s certainly discouraging to think that a ‘stroke of a pen’ and a few indictments can’t just clear it up. So: a bright lad might suppose it’s a good idea, given that 4chan, 8chan, FR, and other places have been instrumental in digging out truth, to get us all engaged.
But how? A plain open message, if there’s behind the scenes stuff going on, is not provable and thus easily mocked by libs/MSM and even us. Cryptic stuff looks like BS or what is called these days ‘LARPing’ (in context, pretending to be something one’s not). By definition we laymen can’t be sure.
So: Occam’s razor. Is the stuff Q posts likely to be BS, or likely to be true? For me, I paid no attention to this and just figured hey, we’re getting judges, regulatory rollback, even tax reform, even if all this is nothing, we’re making steps, until Dec. 21.
When I saw this, I was floored. This is the pen of the President all but confirming the existence of the spooky/weird/creepy myths about our foes and further doing the one most effective thing about them: cutting the money.
That the MSM said not word one about it convinced me. If they could trash that as some “ism” they would. If they could page 23 it and dismiss it they would.
What tipped the balance for *me* about this Q thing is that our Q equally gets the implications of this order — it’s central to ‘his’ message — and has accurately hit on the places that *have* reacted to the EO by resignations, shadowbanning, and other panic.
If our Q is a ‘LARPer’ or basement kid, he’s really really smart and has pulled together a bunch of stuff it took me a long time to even compile as a potential scenario (if the Deep State is true then what does that mean is also true?)
By the way, a bird sings to alert other birds that danger is near. Try walking near a few sometime with ears open. Similarly, people whose misdeeds are at risk of exposure do certain things to alert their fellows and try and get to safety.
