I have no idea who the president is, but it’s definitely not Donald Trump
UMass Daily Collegian ^ | 1/24/18 | Allen

Posted on 01/24/2018 6:36:25 AM PST by pabianice

A few months ago, “The Daily Show” had a recurring segment asking, “Who is the real president?” Their roundup included influential conservatives in and out of the White House. Since President Donald Trump has proven time and time again that he is easily played – it is clear from his conduct and his statements that Trump does not know what he’s doing as president – anyone from Satan to Vladimir Putin could be featured on the list. Given his ignorance, a president who has little-to-no understanding of how government works must be influenced by a more knowledgeable party, if for no other purpose than to simply fill in the gaps in his awareness...

In the end, it doesn’t really matter who holds the official title of president, especially not in the wake of a government shutdown for which both parties are openly blaming each other – in particular, a political climate where senators and the president insult each other on Twitter. It doesn’t matter who’s calling the shots in the Oval Office when outside, citizens can turn the tide for good. The 2018 election isn’t far away and right now, with Republicans controlling the legislative branch during a tumultuous and disappointing time for their constituents, more people than ever might be motivated to vote and change the make-up of the House of Representatives and Senate. In November, and in all upcoming special elections, every vote counts.

I believe civics is a required high school course in only 2 states now. The vast majority have no idea how government is supposed to work, and that includes many of those in congress right now.

The funniest (aka pathetic) thing about many of the absolutely clueless is their unwavering inability to recognize their deficiencies, coupled with an ego-driven compulsion to prove it to everyone else.

Sophie is just another mush headed liberal who thinks reality is whatever she wants it to be. Facts don’t mean anything in the alternate universe she lives in. It must make her feel good to think president Trump isn’t the president. That’s all that matters to her is her feelings.

A self important editor who takes herself far too seriously of a college newspaper that no one at the college probably reads or takes seriously. Very similar to Hollywood types like Rob Reiner.

Who are the parents who spend their money on an education for their children?

Who among those parents are satisfied with that education?

Uh, no.

Sophie Allen is a demagogue and propagandist whose own writing reveals her ignorance and incompetence.

The leftist worldview. They are incapable of imagining anyone disagreeing with them because they are right. They don't know why the believe what they do and they can't defend their beliefs and opinions, they are just right.

Ohmy, this is priceless, and sums her up in a (literal) nutshell.
From that umass link up top ...

Sophie's Headline:
Humanities majors can succeed, if they abandon their dreams

Excerpt below pic of nondescript building, emphasis added:
If one more person tells me I should study engineering instead, I might write an angry poem about it.

You tell 'em, Sophie

Precisely.

Another example of how incredibly stupid and ignorant many college “educated” kids are these days.

As a parent, you’d be better off burning $150,000 in your back yard than sending your child to one of these indoctrination camps masquerading as “institutes of higher learning.” Just burning the money leaves your kid intact intellectually, and if you have a son, at least he might make it to age 22 without being accused of sexual assault for simply complimenting a female student, or asking her out on a date.

More than that, we had the same President from the time Sophie was approximately 12. She was probably around 8 when W was elected to his second term, and likely she had zero comprehension of what influences W had on the culture and country. So really, Sophie has only ever known a single President during her entire political life. Her entire understanding of how Presidents act is based on a man who was so overwhelmed by the job that he needed a vacation after only a single week in office.
