Twitter says it will notify nearly 700,000 users who interacted with accounts the company has identified as potential pieces of a propaganda effort by the Russian government during the 2016 presidential election.
The company on Friday also disclosed thousands of accounts that it said were associated with the Kremlin-linked troll farm, the Internet Research Agency (IRA) and the Russian government, adding to numbers that it released to Congress in October.

677,000 IF you believe the “census” of Twitter itself who says that many were victim of russian trolls and bots. Ridiculous.
Hmmm. That’s what I get for not routinely snacking on candy with Orwell’s Soma in it. I should have known that.
The FBI says that Russians funneled money to the NRA.
I follow the NRA on Twitter.
Therefore twitter warns me that I’m following Russians on twitter.
Wait a minute....she’s the one who promised to marry me and have many beautiful Amerikanski children!
“Twitter to tell 677,000 users they were had by the Russians. Some signs show the problem continues.”
I see what they did. They took all of the Hillarybots, renamed the Russianbots and are running a story on it.
LOL
I got the email from twitter today. I think the purpose of it is intimidation.
I tweeted and re-tweeted #ReleaseTheMemo too many times yesterday.
They didn't care at all, since it made them money, even if indirectly.
Until D. J. Trump became President.
That was the first time they cared about the Russians influencing US citizens.
“...Gab is boring as hell. Why not just stay here?...”
I don’t go there a whole lot. FR is my favorite for the best.
Who are they fooling and who are they getting their marching orders from? I don’t have a Twitter account and I think this sounds ridiculous.
The #ReleaseTheMemo was just too overwhelming for Twitter! So they made up phony reason ..... Russian bots! From Deplorables to Russian bots!
Fantasy
Will twitter also tell you if you interacted with a DEMOCRAT TROLL FARM, like ShareBlue or one of the Soros-financed groups?????
OF COURSE THEY WON’T
Is Twitter run by the CPUSA?
I think WaPo is just a deep state mouth piece. They use WaPo to disseminate their disinformation and leaks to the public to destroy political enemies. No wonder the MSM thinks they have a special license to lie, and how dare the peasants question their deep state wisdom.
Vive les Deplorabots!
Just another confirmation to my decision NOT to use Twitter.
Exactly! #ReleaseTheMemo was trending like mad, so they went into ohnoes! mode. Shut off some accounts, killed the autocomplete, etc. Shadowed it for a few hours. David Brocks group I think made some announcement that russian bots were repeating it so it would trend. Etc.
Then they set up their friendly bots to autopush #Trumpshutdown lol. For real.
But #ReleaseTheMemo was still trending #1 worldwide as of midnight last night, via external stats. Much gnashing of dorsey teefs.
The memo will be released; done deal. We did it!!! Hannity, FR, etc pushed hard and phones got melted. Don Jr. got in on the act. A million centipedes came together and we all did it.
Timing is everything. Nunes is waiting just a bit for the shutdown bs to clear so the media can’t ignore it when
The Sledgehammer Comes Down!!!!
Tick tock, Barak.
I heard here on Freeper that POTUS will make sure it is released when the news media is not focused on the shutdown. Some think this is why the Dems would not Deal. They are trying to keep the people from finding out about the Big Ugly.
I got mine this morning too. I only retweeted Rep. Steve King. I guess he’s a Russian bot too, LOL,
When you click on their page, look who is on their Advisory Council -- at the bottom, it's our old friend Bill Kristol with his Brokeback Mountain smirk.
