Is this USAF’s 4,602mph HYPERSONIC warplane? Google Earth snaps mystery craft in Florida

A MYSTERIOUS aircraft snapped in a Florida airbase could be the US Air Force’s top-secret hypersonic warplane, according to huge claims.

Defence firm Lockheed Martin is understood to be working on a state-of-the-art spy plane for the US Air Force, which could reach over 4,600mph.

Google Earth images have now surfaced of an object bearing a startling similarity to artist’s impressions of the plane.

The silvery shape was spotted at the end of a runway in the swamplands of the Sunshine State, US.

According to Tyler Glockner – who uploaded the clip to his YouTube channel secureteam10 – the area belongs to an aerospace company that has a “main foothold in designing aircraft engines that are widely used in civilian and military aviation”.

“That gives us a hint they work with secretive things,” he added.

MYSTERY: A strange craft spotted in Florida could be the USAF's secret hypersonic warplane

============================================================================================================================

“What you’re seeing is a very mysterious object.

“I haven’t been able to find out what this is.

“It is no public aircraft that has been disclosed.

“You can see that this thing looks like a hypersonic aircraft or spacecraft.”

More than 390,000 people have seen the clip and were quick to offer their suggestions.

“Definitely seems to match the images of that fast jet, but why would they leave it in the open?” one asked.

Another agreed, saying: “Not very secret if they're out in the open for anyone to see!”

But a third wrote: “These look like powerboats, could be something else but there is a massive lake not far away.”

It’s the new vehicle Dominoes will use to deliver pizzas. They now deliver them in 12 seconds.

SR-71 was severely G-limited and subject to unrecoverable pitch-up beyond relatively low angle-of-attack maneuvers. Perhaps a more recent design allows more athletic flying abilities combined with the raw speed.

And the smaller apertures next to it for other frequency bands.

The model tower at the far end of the strip is quite clear.

The Air Force has a history of squadron patches often having a representation of the aircraft flown by that squadron on their patch. Our company has created some of these for different squadrons.

For example, the 331 Squadron flies F-16s and one is prominent on their patch.

Some things to make you go hmmmm...

Google “US Space Command Patch” and try to identify the aircraft used in their designs.

In case you are interested, check out the designs for the...

22nd Air Force
392nd Training Squadron
23rd Space Operations
1st Space Operations

These are just a few that have...unique...aircraft on their patches.

I do nott believe this any super secret aircraft. There is no security, not on a military installation. Also another similar device by the wayside, disassembled and apparently a junker or junked. The military may do things us civilians question, but an obvious security secrew-up like this? Nope, not buying it.
I would sooner bet it IS the Tholians (Tholian web-Star Trek). Maybe we should ask Capt Kirk?

I am aware of those problems with the SR71, this why I think this is likely a sophisticated drone rather then a manned aircraft. I have had more then one aerospace designer comment to me that we may be passed the age of advanced manned aircraft.

Revell even had a model of it. It looked like a frisbee. Fooled everyone.

If you use the time scroll in GE, go back to the 2/13/2008 view and see it on the model tower.

I joined the Air Force in 1987, and in late 1987 or early 1988, I built a model of the, as of then, not officially announced B-2 Bomber. I remember sitting in an office in the late fall of 1988 waiting on some paperwork somewhere on Goodfellow ABF in San Angelo, TX, when I read a story where it was officially announced.

The Revell model was surprisingly close - the only real difference was how the rear of the wing looked on the model versus the real thing. IIRC, Revell's wing was straight across the back, versus the cut/angled version of the real aircraft.

Revell had been very good generally at ferreting out aircraft designs. But they missed the boat completely on the stealth fighter. Some hitech writers like Clancy got taken too.
