Wahlberg, though far from perfect, (like all of us), at least tries to be a family man; that goes a long way with me. He also admits to being ashamed of his participation in “Boogie Nights”. They’re just waiting for something to use against him.
It was all in the contract. Wahlberg’s rep negotiated it. So did Williams’s rep. It’s fair.
Supply and demand. His time is valuable and he could be doing other projects with his time for far more money. The starlet is probably replaceable. Sad but true.
I don’t believe the numbers in this story.
As a punk growing up in Boston, Wahlburg beat up and crippled a feeble Asian man. He never, get that, never made any attempt to apologize or rectify anything with the man until he was recently trying to open a hamburger chain. My fraud detector tells me that he his a major league punk fraud.
Plus I’ve met rocks that were better actors.
Well, I know Mark Wahlberg and would pay to see him.

People change, and there are plenty who have done disgraceful things in their youth. He’s trying to live a better life, now. As I said, he, like us ALL, is far from perfect. I happen to think he’s a good actor. I am, I believe, entitled to my own opinion, as are you.
Our son used to tease our daughter with “make me a sammich.” She finally did. She was an art major, and he still has the drawing framed. Now her answer is “You still haven’t eaten the last one I made you.”
That’s a costly money shot.

Why should he work for free? It isn’t like it was a big secret about Spacey. So, the production company made a decision and it cost them some money. Not Mark’s fault, as far as I can see.
