Outlaw country legend Willie Nelson was forced to abort a concert after just a single song on Saturday night due to breathing difficulties, and now the 84-year-old has canceled upcoming dates for this week.
According to reports in The San Diego Union-Tribune, Nelson was halfway through his opener, “Whiskey River,” while performing at Harrah’s Resort SoCal in San Diego when he abruptly stopped. Eyewitnesses say that he was coughing and wheezing as he left the stage.

I will try to check it out. When I have listened to him in the past, after a while its started to sound a bit repetitive, and his very unique twang of a voice can start to be a little - annoying?...don’t mean to upset any real fans.
My folks really liked country when I was growing up. But country to them was Buck Owens, Tammy Wynette, Loretta Lynn, and blue grass. I can handle just a little of each but my ear needs more variety after a few songs.
I’ve been coughing since the first of November. Within the past few days it’s gotten worse. Went to the doctor today and I have the flu. It sucks.

As well as the fact that you will smell so bad that no one will get near you. It helps keep the sick at arms length.

Everything combusted doesn’t have same effect on lungs
I don’t smoke anything and I have compromised lungs due to surgeries etc
Willie is simply old and has worked hard a long time doing what he loved
Marijuana got him away from a serious alcohol addiction
I doubt he’d have made 84 drinking like he did
I think he smoked Marlboros a long time as well then he quit and took up jogging
Sounds like he has Pulmonary Fibrosis. I’m afraid he days are numbered. His son Lukas sings exactly like him. Same voice but much better. I’m sure he’ll take Willie’s place ‘on the road again.’
