I use white vinegar and virgin olive oil for my salads. I can drink vinegar straight up. I like the taste. I will try apple vinegar to see if it helps. Like to lower the blood sugar. I have driven it from 6.5 to 6.2 in 5 months. I try apple vinegar for three months to get it below 6.0.

Drinking milk-shakes does work..did for me.....I’m at 112 at 5’2 so when I drop weight it’s apparent. Went down to 102 when was contending with stressers so someone mentioned drinking milk-shakes. I had at least one a day and sometimes more. Worked.

“lost even more, shedding 3.7 lbs, or 1.7 kgs a day.”

I call B.S. Almost 4 pounds every day? I think not.

I use a variation of the old “Jogging in a Jug” formula - I mix 2 cups of organic apple cider vinegar with apple juice and grape juice enough to fill a gallon jug, then drink a small cup twice a day. Have lost some weight, nothing dramatic.

Yes, that’s too much. A very large person, 400lbs>, might lose a 4 pounds a day on a very caloric restrictive diet...but a person trying to lose 20 or 40 pounds is not going to see that no matter what they are drinking.

I eat it daily.

Cut up some lettuce—say two cups—into a small salad, mix 2 tbsp. cider vinegar and 1 tbsp. virgin olive oil.

Tasty.

I used to brew a concoction of apple cider vinegar, garlic, honey and ginger: In a blender, blend 10 cloves of garlic, 1 cup raw unheated honey, 1 cup organic apple cider vinegar, half a lemon, a piece of fresh ginger. That’s about a week’s supply . Garlic is a sulfur-rich food and a natural antibiotic. Honey is rich in vitamins, minerals and enzymes.

I used to have a bit @ 10 minutes before each meal and noticed some weight gain after a week or two. Need to get back to this brew.

But to answer your direct question, I don’t know how much effects a quick weight loss.

“V8 and simply add a shot of vinegar per can”

That makes a good salad dressing, especially if adding some olive oil. I don’t do it often because of my teeth; you’re chewing it with the salad. I used to do the ACV “diet” , drinking it through a straw but never noticed any benefits re weight. Gave me terrible GERD.

“Vinegar is highly effective at killing many microbes including gut flora. It may work by interfering with normal digestion. Swallowing an anti-microbial cleaning acid to lose weight probably isn’t the brightest idea.”

Pretty solid point, haha.

I wonder what the diet benefits would be of having a couple swigs of 93 octane gasoline each day.

Isn’t there a ton of gut flora you absolutely want and need? Would it kill the good as well as the bad?
