THE Loch Ness Monster may have been found but a little far from home.
Footage captured the moment what appears to be a huge sea creature in the Great Prespa Lake a massive body of water shared by Albania, Greece and Macedonia.
The viral video shows Nessie poking its long neck out of the water before ducking back down.
Many viewers have been wondering whether the mythical beast has gone on holiday away from its usual home in Scotlands Loch Ness.
And it could even be a trip its made before as a similar giant sea creature was spotted in the Greek section of the lake five years ago.
But some local residents remain unconvinced of the legend preferring to believe it is actually a giant catfish.
Geography professor, Sima Jonosk, who led a tour of the lake and was the first person to swim across it back in 1970, said: "I remember when a ship sank in Albania, near Mali grad, a lot of children drowned in Prespa Lake.
"Then I found out that the divers who searched for them saw great catfish.
"They were so scared that they stopped the search. I think that it was one of those catfish that the Greek fishermen saw."
But he added: "Sometimes things happen in Prespa Lake that don't happen in other lakes.
"When I was a teacher in 1976 I saw a large pillar of water rising near the border with Greece, shaped like a mushroom. It came down only after 10 to 15 minutes."
This is certainly not the first and will undoubtedly be the last sighting of the Loch Ness Monster.
In October, some Londoners became convinced the beast was actually living in the River Thames after strange footage emerged of an unidentified black creature swimming in its murky depths.
Loch Ness, bigfoot, UFOs, ghosts all use the same cameramen.
If the subject isn’t distant, out of focus, lacking size perspective, or the video is shakey, I call fake.
Cylinder with dogleg on top . Nothing to give you scale. Looks like a black pipe being lowered into the lake.
I’ve been reading this headline for 50 years.
