Donald Trumps former chief strategist Steve Bannon has described the Trump Tower meeting between the presidents son and a group of Russians during the 2016 election campaign as treasonous and unpatriotic, according to an explosive new book seen by the Guardian.
Trump-Russia investigation: the key questions answered Read more Bannon, speaking to author Michael Wolff, warned that the investigation into alleged collusion with the Kremlin will focus on money laundering and predicted: Theyre going to crack Don Junior like an egg on national TV.
Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House, reportedly based on more than 200 interviews with the president, his inner circle and players in and around the administration, is one of the most eagerly awaited political books of the year. In it, Wolff lifts the lid on a White House lurching from crisis to crisis amid internecine warfare, with even some of Trumps closest allies expressing contempt for him.

“He claim to have recordings. Why would Trump issue a cease and desist if their is nothing to cease and desist?”
He may have recordings, and Bannon may have said what is claimed. That doesn’t make what Bannon said automatically true. People can lie, distort, spin, etc.
“Why would trump say Bannon had lost his mind if he didnt believe Bannon said it? Why would press secretary say Trump was peeved if there was nothing to be peeved about.”
To repeat, Bannon may have actually said it. But Bannon is not the sole source for the book. Other sources are already claiming Wolff is lying.
Wolff claims that Trump did not want to be president. Those who campaigned with Trump are laughing at that. They say Trump almost drove them in the ground with his effort.
John Podhoretz, a never-Trumper, has just warned that you cannot depend on what Wolff writes, he blends fact with fantasy.
I can give you my version of who @USNJack is.
His profile: US Navy Veteran. NRA Voting & Benefactor Member. Legislative Firearms Expert. Oath Keepers National.
There have been a number of what I call Citizen Journalists pop-up on Twitter in the past 18 months or so. Mike Cernovich, Thomas Wictor, Jack Posobiec, etc. They perform investigative journalism, are seemingly independent and do a lot of reporting on Twitter in “threads” like the link I posted. Some are nuttier than squirrel turds, some are wholly unreliable, but some are pretty good. Navy Jack has proven to be one of the more reliable. He appears to have a number of good inside sources and he appears to refrain from rampant speculation and conspiracy theories.
In general, Twitter is like watching sausage being made. Sometimes you have to know when to turn your head and wait for the finished product.
In the case of Navy Jack, if you dig around on Twitter in his stuff, he has documented (to date) 3 potential articles of impeachment Mueller could present to Paul Ryan based on his teams activities and a strategy they could use for doing so. He is clearly NOT in the “Mueller is working for Trump” camp.
I agree, it doesn’t automatically make what may have said to actually be true. Or it may be true in his eyes, but not from a legal perspective. But you must admit, he’s thrown gasoline on a smoldering ember. I would suspect if he hasn’t already been interviewed by the Mueller and team, he’s now on the short list or will be invited back.
Yes, and it will all be salivated over by the MSM until something else comes along.
The main thing is not what Bannon says, but his treachery ( if he said it).
First, I’ve got to believe did as he’s not denied it and the Trump administration is treating it as he did. 2nd, it goes back to Trump’s decision making processes. He appointed Bannon to be the defacto chief of staff, he appointed Sessions to head the DOJ and he appointed Flynn. These among others have imploded on him. For a man who understands character and people as well as he supposedly does, those are some pretty boneheaded mistakes and/or bad decisions.
