I recently asked my friends' little girl what she wanted to be when she grows up. She said she wanted to be President some day. Both of her parents, liberal Democrats, were standing there, so I asked her, If you were President what would be the first thing you would do? She replied, I'd give food and houses to all the homeless people. Her parents beamed with pride.
Wow...what a worthy goal. I told her, But you don't have to wait until you're President to do that. You can come over to my house and mow the lawn, pull weeds, and sweep my yard, and I'll pay you $50. Then I'll take you over to the grocery store where the homeless guy hangs out, and you can give him the $50 to use toward food and a new house.
She thought that over for a few seconds, then she looked me straight in the eye and asked, Why doesn't the homeless guy come over and do the work, and you can just pay him the $50?
I said, Welcome to the Republican Party. Her parents still aren't speaking to me.
I’ve been to 50 countries myself, first time in Singapore in 1980 while in the Navy, later in 1997. Yes, the clean highlight of southeast Asia. Very nice place.
Love the store.
Love the store.
Lol!
All right, I give up.
Why is the word "orientals" forbidden now?
Cant be armed there, so its a no go zone for me.
And you have to buy a permit to even buy a car. I think the permit runs $40K. And its only good for ten years.
Never can understand why orientals want to be called “Asians”. Asia is so large, all the way from Turkey in the western end on down to Japan in the east, and includes the Indian sub-continent. Asia has all 3 racial and ethnic groups in abundance. Therefore the term Asian does not describe any ethnic/racial group.
On the other hand, Orientals should be proud of their ancient history and economies which are growing much faster than anyone in the Western world.
plz see my post #49..
I love those Oriental rugs.
and oriental women with their hairless smooth skins lol
There ya go. And maybe why a car is so expensive.
During my fifty years in the Land of the Rising Sun I learned to pronounce it ‘Ollienters.’
Bump to that!!
I just posted this to my facebook page!
I just did !
Great story!
Perfect....
