This bowl season was one that Pac-12 teams would not mind forgetting. With three-fourths of the conference headed to bowl games, there was potential for the Pac-12 to have an impressive showing and prove that despite not having a team qualify for the College Football Playoff, it is still one of the better Power-5 conferences. Instead, Utah was the only one of the nine teams to win its bowl game and the Pac-12 ended the bowl season with the worst record ever for a Power-5 Conference for an entire bowl season.

My team lost because our best player sat out to protect himself for his pro career. Talk about weak and selfish.
I agree. But ESPN has a partnership with the SEC. SEC is too weak and need better chances of winning the national title to make ESPNs partnership worth it. ESPN paid a lot for this contract and they need to be the network that hosts the national champions each year.
Is love to see OU win it this year. Then it will have everyone saying there should have been a rematch between osu and OU. But ESPN wanted two of their SEC teams in the final 4.
Proof that NCAA is just an NFL minor league. Football’s relationship to colleges is just geographic.
No need to put it down. SEC vs. Pac12 is like apples and oranges. Different CULTURES. Can turnaround from 1 years to the next.
Wow I didn’t know that! Yep big 10 is clearly the best this year.
Just more of our Afirmative Action Sports.
Darnold needs another year or two to mature, so I’m glad he’s not going to the draft.
Not that he’s declared, but it wouldn’t be his best choice.
Maybe if UCLA qb had played rather than lie to sit out so he wouldnt injure himself before draft the conference might have won a game
Funny.
Before they played the game, the talk was all about that selection committee was obligated to select the runner up ACC team and runner up B1G team in the Orange Bowl. No home team favoritism for “The U”.
And the fans were all about “The Turnover Chain”. Because you know QB Alex Hornibrook and their freshman RB Jonathan Taylor are prone to turnovers.
After they play the game, now it is “B1G teams all have higher rankings over their opponents, so they are expected to win”. Whatever!
B1G this year is 7 - 0 in bowl games so far, with one game left. Go Blue!
USC qb overrated
Pac 12 commissioner Larry Scott is probably satisfied. He is hell-bent for “parity” in the league.
Yeah, cause all those other schools are always squeaky clean!
The Big10 lost out this year for the same reason that Penn State lost out to Ohio State last year.
I think sec VS Pac12 this year would be competetive. Clearly the big 10 is better than both this year but Pac12 and sec are both very weak this year. Would have been interesting if they played each other in bowl games. But ESPN wouldn’t allow that to happen. If sec lost to the Pac12 that would ruin their SEC partnership.
The only bowl game the sec has won so far is against an unranked Atlantic conference team! That’s pretty bad. If and if was Mississippi state that barely won. I believe they have Alabama a hell of a game a month or so ago.
That makes no sense. Penn state and Ohio state are in the big 10. And it was wrong of them to do that to Penn state last year. The committee screwed the big 10 last year and this year.
Oh wait you’re right. It is the same reason as last year. ESPN doesn’t want the best big 10 team in the playoff.
Northwestern won workout their starting QB. And a few years ago Ohio state won the championship with their 3rd string QB. But then again they are playing in the next conference in college football.
He also needs a good offensive line in front of him so he isn't always running for his life.
I hope he stays at USC for his senior year and when he graduates, uses his degree in communications to start a career or enrolls in a graduate program such as USC's excellent School of Communications. He should avoid the corrupt, America-hating NFL.
UCLA lived and died with Rosen last few seasons
Penn State and Wisconsin were great yesterday. O$U runs hot and cold.
Go IU!
