A verbal agreement might not amount to much. She said, she said. Tough situation, grrrrr.

All that is certain is that one of these women is a greedy piece of trash.
But I have no idea which one.

Lottery tickets including scratch-offs are a bearer instrument.
If you’re going half/half on them you BOTH need to sign the back.

Most of Stuttgart is working class poor. In the Fall it becomes the “Duck Hunting Capital of the World” The Duck Dynasty guys are down there for duck hunting season.

off the cuff feel good promises of sharing a portion or % of a winning are really tested when one actually does win. Did they split the cost of the ticket? That’s more concrete and enforceable. If she just idly said a few months back that they’ll split it, all bets are off.

I’d say the lesson here is: If you’re in a pool, get a lawyer and it in writing.

This doesn't make sense. You buy a lottery ticket before the drawing so if you are in a pool you don't know if it is a winner for a period of time, but you know with a scratcher ticket instantly.
Did she give the other lady half the money to purchase the ticket?
 That just doesn't smell right.

I dont understand why people do this. Me either. I could never enjoy the money after "stealing" it from the other person.

After she’s blown through it on a boob job, cars and assorted substance abuse she’s not going to have anywhere to crawl back to.

"Okay Leslie, can do. I hope we win!!"
Mandy gets the tickets. Mandy scratches the tickets. Mandy finds the winner, and quickly and quietly runs off with it, claims it for herself, and moves to a new town with her drug-dealer boyfriend. The $300,000 will be gone in under 3 months, guaranteed.

Their boss should be able to attest that he told them to split any winnings when he gave them the tickets, that might help some.
