Why do we need a national police force, which is what the FBI is? Policing should be a local activity. If the feds need some form of law enforcement, it ought to be to police their own agencies, and to offer legitimate national services such as the national fingerprint database.
The FBI is beyond purging. It needs to be defunded and abolished.

I think the whole purpose of this article is to get the word “purge” into the title. That is an extremely loaded term with so much deadly baggage that I would never use it to describe what needs to happen with the FBI. This congressman was a flaming idiot to use it. The hill jumped right on it.
