The NFL is approaching the playoffs looking for a ratings turnaround after a year of record-low television numbers. Outcry over players protesting by taking a knee during the national anthem isn’t helping, but it’s only one of several reasons fans are turning away from professional football, media analysts say.

Oh, well, if the expert media analysts conclude that it’s not millionaires disrespecting the flag and the country, and ultimately the fan base, well, I guess they are correct.

My dad had season tickets for the Bears for decades and he would be revolted if he were alive to see this debacle.

Wake your (black) players up to the FACTS: That their fellow blacks are killed by other blacks dozens of times more than by whites, and hundreds of more times than by white cops!
And that a young black who gets educated or learns a skill, keeps his nose clean and doesn’t come on with attitude is a preferred hire in a lot of cases, so companies can avoid charges of bigotry.
Bottom line...they’ve been protesting lies.

The tale will be told in next year's season ticket sales and renewals. This year's were sold well before the bad behavior turned fans off.
And their lack of understanding is exactly why the NFL is the walking dead. I left in September, have not been back.
NFL deserves a Jaguars vs Panthers Super Bowl this year. It would be the lowest rated one in a long time.
If a tree falls in the forest, but it is not televised, did it actually occur? LOL!
We can even expand this. If there are no hikers to capture the tree falling with their cell phone cameras and post it to Facebook, did it really happen?! LOL!!

Have not seen anything about them kneeling anymore. Did the NFL put out the word that they didn’t want the networks covering it anymore?
And fire the NFL Director of Communications, Joe Lockhart who was Bill Clinton’s Press Secretary during his impeachment and when Monica took a knee for Bill. This is the same guy who rented his house in DC to the Obama’s when they left the white house.
Penalties, replays, yes, but no offenses? I looked at that as two pretty good defenses in a battle. In my playing days (over half-a-hundred years ago) I always considered defense to be more fun!

But it's not the revolution they thought it would be.
It’s like this, perfesser: There is an unspoken agreement between the players and the fans that the game of football is an escape from worldly concerns like football. The players have reneged on that agreement, therefore it no longer stands.
I was hoping for an all-LA Super Bowl. Two LA teams that folks in Los Angeles don’t even care about.
