Actress Heather Menzies-Urich, best known for portraying Louisa von Trapp in the 1965 film “The Sound of Music,” died Sunday night. She was 68.
Menzies-Urich, the widow of actor Robert Urich, had been recently diagnosed with cancer, according to her son Ryan Urich.
Urich said his mother died on Christmas Eve, surrounded by her children and family members.

The problem with SWAT was that it’s members did their own detective work. Stupid. The show from which they spun off from, The Rookies, had the same problem - rookie uniformed patrolmen doing their own detective work.
It’s amazing that every cop does a detective job no matter what.
TJ Hooker had no problem being a uniformed detective either.
Ponch and Jon were great motorcycle based detectives as well.
The duet with the Baron and Liesel doing “Edelweiss” was really good. Not sure who the actually singers were.
Plummer was dubbed by Bill Lee. Charmain Carr did her own singing.

Based on the announcement, This has “assisted suicide” written all over it.

How so?
Certain cancers can go undetected for quite a while until it is too late and can sometimes kill quickly.
There was a talk show host in Baltimore who got a diagnosis of stage 4 pancreatic cancer. He really didn’t have much in the way of symptoms but went to his doctor, mostly for what he thought was indigestion. He talked about it on air and kept doing his show but only for a few weeks after his diagnosis. A couple of weeks later he was dead.
One of my ex-husband’s nephew’s had a wife, a beautiful woman inside and out, a loving mother and wonderful person. She had been suffering from what she thought was the flu but her symptoms were not going away. She went to her doctor’s because she was feeling so fatigued. He drew blood and found her white count was off the charts, sent her to Johns Hopkins for more testing, it was acute leukemia. She died eight weeks later.
She died surrounded by friends and family and her son said she “had enough”.
