How sad.
Julie and Christopher have outlived two of the children in the cast.
RIP Heather and Charmian.
Wow! Did they live in Love Canal or the trinity site?
Poor Robert Urich died very young from cancer. Never forget his Jake Spoon in Lonesome Dove... excellent
Was drug out by my then girlfriend to see Sound of Music. Not a fan of musical anything in movies..... except Little Shop Of Horrors.
Sound of Music..
Great background video.
One of the best movies ever made.
Had no idea she was married to Robert Ulrich. One of my favorite actors——gone WAY too soon.
Same for Patrick Swayze & Michael Landon.
Jake Spoon...
He died well.
The funny thing about Sound of Music is that most Austrians and Germans have never heard of it. It seems to be a uniquely American pre-occupation...
I had sort of a crush on Charmian when I was a teen.
Our senior class (class of 1965) chose “Climb Every Mountain” for our class song. Actually two of our girls chose it for us but they did well.
I would watch sound of music every day with my 5 year old daughter before heading out to work. She simply loved the show. At 5 I guess the swastika resembles a spider and when in the show the Nazis came for the Von Traps she would run around saying (loudly) the spiders are coming the spiders are coming.
Swayze was a cousin through our Karnes family side. Karnes City, Karnes Co, TX named for him. Rev. War hero. Also, one of the group of cousins, including Townsend and Bostic, who captured Santa Anna.
I hadn’t cared for Landon since back in the mid 70’s when I saw him say on a talk show he didn’t believe in love.
Hollywood has ceased to exist as Tinseltown and there will be no more "stars"
Jennifer Aniston might be the last hurrah only because she (or her agents) were smart enough to see the writing on the wall and she determined to stay slim and "pretty" and sells cosmetics.
NETFLIX is boss now.
Yes sir, he died fine.
That’s very sad. This is one of my all-time favorite movies.
RIP Heather Menzies-Urich
RIP Charmian Carr
I watched Logan’s Run on TV and remember Sssssss as well.
Two classics. RIP.
