My son and DIL were engaged at 22 and 20 and married at 23 and 21. They are now married for 3 years and expecting their first child. He is just finishing 4 years of grad school and will be ordained this spring. I married my husband at 23 (31 years ago) and my only regret is I did not marry him younger. I was 24 and my wife 23 when we married. That was 32 years ago.
We are still married and so is our daughter, who married at 24.
husband was 19 when he married me (22)...met at church at Christmas and started dating beginning of Feb. He left first week of April for navy. Came back in June from boot camp, stayed 1 week and got engaged. He went back to Virginia for military. Came back 3 days before our wedding that December....kids 3 years later...married 26 years!
Not always easy, sometimes very very hard but has been worth it!
