Retired Cmdr. David Fravor spent 18 years as a Navy pilot, but nothing prepared him for what he witnessed during a routine training mission on Nov. 14, 2004.
"I can tell you, I think it was not from this world," Fravor told ABC News. "I'm not crazy, haven't been drinking. It was — after 18 years of flying, I've seen pretty much about everything that I can see in that realm, and this was nothing close."
Fravor's stunning retelling of his encounter off the California coast with what appeared to be a 40-foot-long wingless object that flew at incredible speeds in an erratic pattern comes as the Pentagon revealed the existence of a secret program to investigate sightings of UFOs.
The program was shut down in 2012 because of other budget priorities, according to the Pentagon.
"I have never seen anything in my life, in my history of flying that has the performance, the acceleration — keep in mind this thing had no wings," Fravor said.
He recalled flying his F/A-18 fighter on a training mission on a beautiful Southern California day 13 years ago when things started to get strange.
Controllers on one of the Navy ships on the water below reported objects that were dropping out of the sky from 80,000 feet and going "straight back up," Fravor said.

I am glad the space aliens follow FAA regulations and have clearance and warning lights. imagine the pandemonium of aliens zipping about without lights!

"So we turned around — we couldn't have been more than about a couple miles away — and there's no white water at all in the ocean," Fravor said. "It's just blue."

As we know them. That doesn’t mean they are absolutely accurate. They are “laws” only because we haven’t witnessed phenomena that are not explained by them. Also, whose to say that matter and energy act the same everywhere in the universe?

What if a way to control gravitational forces were discovered, such that one could alternatively make objects of mass attract each other, then repel each other. We don't understand gravitational force - but what if another intelligent life figured out how to manipulate gravity?
We’ve witnessed lots of things that are not explained by them.
When that happens, the “laws” get extended, or modified, or come to be seen as a special case of a more general continuum of behavior, not normally seen in everyday life.
That’s how we got relativity, and quantum mechanics, and quarks, and radioactivity, among other things.
OK. Show me one sane Chairman of the Department of Physics at any credible university to come forward and postulate in a peer reviewed journal or at a conference of physicists that he or she believes that UFOs are real material entities from another star, that aliens from another star have visited earth and postulate a theoretical equation to back his theory. Science fiction is amusing and even inspiring, but it simply is not real.
What you describe could be described as “the great deception.”
What if gravity isn't really the issue, but electromagnetism is?

Based on what we know now. After only a few hundred years of inventing machines that are still very basic.
Time and space are likely easily manipulated with the right technology. Technology that overcomes classical physics unlike we’ve invented so far.
Just over 100 years ago most people said a flying machine was impossible. Then they said space flight was impossible. Then a few decades later man walked on the moon.
Imagine an Alien race with millions of years of exponential innovation. We simply cannot comprehend such a thing
