We’ve witnessed lots of things that are not explained by them.

When that happens, the “laws” get extended, or modified, or come to be seen as a special case of a more general continuum of behavior, not normally seen in everyday life.

That’s how we got relativity, and quantum mechanics, and quarks, and radioactivity, among other things.

Not it! The Quantum World, The Relativistic World, is our Everyday World, seen from a new light. Seen for what it is.

The Quantum explains metals, for example. Before that, they were just taken for granted.

Yes, and surely we will witnessed many more things that don’t fit with our current understanding of how the universe works.
