The question remains why the USAF ordered that UFOs be shot down in the 50s if they were mirages. They showed up on radar in conjunction with visual sightings. Where they were from is debatable. That they exist is certain.

I have seen a number of legit UFOs during my lifetime. Remember they are Unidentified Flying Objects and not space aliens,until PROVEN otherwise. All but two were in my youth in Va. I have seen two in Az and those two were beyond belief.
For two weeks, the operator said, the Princeton had been tracking mysterious aircraft. The objects appeared suddenly at 80,000 feet, and then hurtled toward the sea, eventually stopping at 20,000 feet and hovering. Then they either dropped out of radar range or shot straight back up."
For two weeks this had been going on just offshore San Diego and no major DOD assets were brought in to investigate???
The two fighter jets then conferred with the operations officer on the Princeton and were told to head to a rendezvous point 60 miles away, called the cap point, in aviation parlance. They were en route and closing in when the Princeton radioed again. Radar had again picked up the strange aircraft. “Sir, you won’t believe it,” the radio operator said, “but that thing is at your cap point.”
How did this "thing" happen to know ahead of time where they had been vectored to??

I'm not a pilot, but have had white lights shifting mysteriously on interior surfaces while driving my van. The lights would disappear just as mysteriously. They would suddenly appear when traffic got heavy, and I'd put my left hand on the steering wheel. ??? I was wearing a quality wristwatch, and the "lights" were produced by bright sunlight reflecting off the precision cuts around the watch's bezel.
Maybe some here have experienced this, and can name the watch? ;)

When I worked for NASA, I saw interesting things on the Space Shuttle downlink. I’ll just leave it at that.
They are called demons. It’s no big deal. They manifest themselves in different ways appropriate to take the human mind off of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
I saw mine while on close-in sentry duty when I was in the Air Force back in the late 70’s. It was in Oklahoma and about 2 or 3 in the morning. It was clearly shield-shaped with a flat underside and had a dull but constant, reddish glow. I watched it move slowly across the sky from east to west, shield point forward, without a sound until it disappeared. It looked to be about the altitude of a commercial airliner but I couldn’t gauge the size at all.
I kept rubbing my eyes thinking I was just tired or seeing things, but it was still there. After it was gone, I called the tower and asked if they’d seen anything strange and they said they had not. I remember it all like it was yesterday.
I believe that people are really seeing these things; but I don’t believe they are - or are ALL - necessarily nuts-and-bolts objects.
