No but she did frequently and literally wrap herself in a Confederate flag on her FB page.

Even now, there are those posting their “concerns” about the *flag* rather than her death.

Many *hundreds* of guys ‘followed’ her on FB.

I sincerely hope someone down there is doing an investigation and forensics, rather than just assuming.

I won’t say, but maybe they were not her pits. Maybe she owned other dogs, who knows?

They were her dogs and neither one was a “pit”.

Her whole life, including her show horses and her two dogs, is still up on FB for everyone to see.
She was one of those who shared every second of her life on FB.

There are no “pits”.

It amazes me to think that this woman died horribly in the woods and no one cares enough, apparently, to truly find out *how*.

She was a beautiful girl who posted lots of “selfies” and had a *huge* number of male followers.

But just blame some dogs.

The cops said there were no signs of strangulation, as if that would be the only way to kill her.

This is just depressing and I can’t shake the feeling that something far worse than having your dogs turn on you, happened there.

I briefly looked at the story and “my gut” practically screamed to me that something *far worse* happened to her.

I’m praying that whatever did happen, *somebody* will keep digging into this until it’s known.

I ignore the “dog experts”, as a rule.

The sarcastic “Find The Pit” chart that gets posted often is dead on.

No matter what it may actually be, it’s still a “pit”... just because.

This is what I've been listening to, since 1975.

Ironically, if people watched the movie before spouting off nonsense, they'd know that the unfaithful husband killed the woman and dumped her body into the ocean.

The "bite marks" on her were from her loyal, very distressed Doberman *pulling her to back to the beach*, where they'd been found, at the beginning of the movie.

In the 40+ years since I got my first one, I've heard all the dire predictions and scary "tales"...and none of it ever came to pass.

So I ignore the stupidity and fight the ignorance.

Even more ironically, I do not have any Pit Bulls.

GSDs and Husky/Malamutes top the bite lists every year.

For GSDs, at least, I wonder if pain isn’t a contributing factor, due to their horrendous hip issues.

It’s too bad as they’re really good dogs who cannot help what humans have done to them, in the name of “fashion”.

You're right on with the irony and sarcasm. The Sheriff said that they are pit bulls. And the article said,...

"...it took at least eight hours for investigators to collect over 60 pieces of evidence."

So apparently, the investigators agree on the type, or the Sheriff wouldn't have said it. Several other local news publications said the same. The mess at the scene obviously included a lot of pieces of pit bull owner.

Notice the familiar pit bull propaganda comments from Bethany’s friend in contrast with the initial report from the medical examiner’s office (dogs killed by the owner). Her friend appeared in videos at other news sites with a decorative cluster of cheap metal pinned into her lip.

As you can see, the story went around the world. AppyPappy was correct in essence, really. The spirit of “the hood” has been “movin’ on up” to the middle class in many rural communities. Such areas are also now saturated with drug problems and other associated crimes and miseries.

You kiddin’? People love to breed those as big as possible and call them ‘bully pits.’ They have breeder pages where they describe the breeding of blue nose pits etc. and brag about the biggest dogs - purebred pits. The AKC won’t register pits that big (or over 40lbs) but the people who breed monster pits are interested in AKC registration.

I had my choice of links on the web -lots of competition among breeders to breed the biggest most monsterous pit bull possible. This page features a 170lb pit bull.

My daughter has a fat gator looking bully....blue with a white blaze

They are no more pit bull than a bull terrier is

They have zero wind and stamina.....they are bred for looks

Average fighting capable pit bull is 40-70 pounds....rangey and sinuous with good lungs

Last pic is a fat lovable slobber bucket bully.....can't fight crap...too fat and squat outta breath but heavy......second is a very nice red nose pit bull like the ones my son in law raises in cheatham county tn which yes is dangerous if not properly owned and supervised.....first is Bedford my Standard American Bulldog from Konfederate kennels in South Georgia...100 pounds..toughest dog I ever owned.....pit bull destroyer and that's saying something..worst enemy a Russian boar has or a black bear....Bedford is at stud in Bordeaux....that's France
