Ryan Lizza, a longtime writer for the New Yorker, has been booted from the high-brow magazine amid allegations of "improper sexual conduct."
A spokesperson for the magazine confirmed to the Daily News that Lizza was fired on Monday. The spokesperson declined to elaborate on the allegations against Lizza, but said they amounted to "what we believe was improper sexual conduct."
"We have reviewed the matter and, as a result, have severed ties with Lizza," the spokesperson said.

Within minutes of the New Yorker announcement, Lizza was also suspended from CNN, where he regularly appears as an on-air political contributor.
What, exactly, is “improper sexual conduct”? Are they spying on his bedroom?
Who decides what is proper?
CNN suspended him too unless that’s fake news.
The libs are falling like flies!.................Their #meToo campaign is like a wildfire with a hurricane behind it!..............
How long until the accusations begin against women?
“allegations of “improper sexual conduct.””
Who the heck wants “proper sexual conduct” anyway? Victorians? Isn’t being “improper” half the fun? Why else do we call it “being naughty”?
Sure there is a line between naughty and criminal but at this point I’m suspecting this is all a plot to make westerners afraid to breed so we can be demographically replaced.
I’ve conducted sex improperly. Thank God she lets me practice!
Uhhhh, I don’t think in this case this guy was exactly looking to “breed”, if you catch my drift.
Probably his accuser alone.
I don’t expect many, if any at all.....................
Much as I detest these libs, I detest false accusations even more. Aside from Weinstein, where in most of these scandal stories are there any facts above the “he said, she said” level?
Of course, there’s plenty of precedent for Leftists turning on each other. The French Revolution saw much of its leadership destroyed through denunciation. And few of the Bolsheviks of 1917 lived the see the end of the Stalin era.
I had a City Manager do that did that to me and a gal from work. He had people watching her house for my truck. Then he tried to fire us, but the city council fired him instead 0 When he confronted me about what a scandal it would be, I said why because 2 heterosexual single people are dating?
He’s denying anything improper. There’s no details provided even to give a hint as to what he is supposed to have done that would justify a summary sacking, and public scandalizing. I guess we’ll find out.
He was married to a woman doctor, they divorced two years ago. So he’s been single for a while and maybe started dating someone at the office and then it went south? I have no idea.
from Politico:
“an attorney representing the unnamed woman who accused Lizza of misconduct, disputed that characterization.
Although she desires to remain confidential and requests that her privacy be respected, in no way did Mr. Lizzas misconduct constitute a respectful relationship as he has now tried to characterize it, read a statement from Wigdor, whose firm is perhaps best known for representing clients alleging sexual harassment and racial discrimination at Fox News. Our client reported Mr. Lizzas actions to ensure that he would be held accountable and in the hope that by coming forward she would help other potential victims.
There certainly are a lot of job openings these days in the press and broadcasting field. ;^)
In this case I hope he sues their ass off.

The percentage of the total men outed in this who are liberals is quite amazing. The percent who are Jewish is also amazing. It takes deliberate effort not to notice these things.
Ryan Lizza, Tom Ashbrook and Mario Batali.
By the names, they don’t sound Jewish to me.
Sorry. Got him confused with the Newsman John Gizzy.
