ORANGE, Texas (KTRK) -- A missing east Texas teenager has been found in Louisiana, the Orange County Sheriff's Office confirmed.
Heaven Ray Cox, 15, was reported missing on Saturday in Orange, Texas. Deputies said the residence where Heaven was located belonged to a relative of a person that was known by the teen.
Heaven's mother believed her daughter left with a man she met on Snapchat and could have been going with him to California.

Thanks for yesterdays ping.
She was found safe in Louisiana.
So glad to see she’s safe! Praise God!!!
Glad to hear it. I’m pleased she didn’t actually run off with a predator from California. Heaven can wait.
Is this girl totally brain dead? I cannot believe the stupidity she exhibited. It’s obvious that she cannot be trusted with any privileges, such as having unfettered access to smart phones or the internet. She should be severely grounded for a good long time. Maybe she’d wake up to having an ounce of common sense.
She does have emo issues. Was stated in one of the news programs.
I’m happy she was found alive and safe, but this is a 15 year old girl. Why was this national news, just because she’s very pretty? Was it the goal of the parents to publicize so that they could find her? I understand that part of course.
I just thought juveniles were to remain anonymous barring commission of murder.
Blurry monitor for this very good news. Another child is also in my prayers...
11 am update, Day 5: More than 600 volunteers set out with officials in search of 3-year-old.
She was missing, that is why. She is not being charged with a criminal offense, which is the only time they do not reveal the name of a minor. Unless of course, as you state, they are being charged as an adult for murder.
Im glad shes safe.
I hate reading comments on these threads, from jack asses who blame the children.
An NBC News crew just ‘happened’ to be there when the phone call came into the mother that she was ‘safe’.
Initially, she was supposed to be in San Antonio, instead she was found completely the other direction in Louisiana.
Doesn’t pass the smell test...
My theory for the explosion of dysfunction, brief lives : cell phones combined with the internet and drugs.
Couple that with incompetent parenting and we get a perfect social storm.
If not the kid, then who’s to blame? Many times, it doesn’t matter how good the parents are, teens don’t listen and think they can do whatever they want. To heck with the consequences until it’s too late.
A nice sentiment, but a nearly impossible to achieve to a great degree of effectiveness. Pray tell, how is one to implement this, especially if the daughter is highly functional??
I understand that there are parents that are completely laissez-faire; however, parents who use every tool at their disposal still find it a daunting challenge to fully protect their daughters.
Thank the Lord.
Was in the process of pinging you, then YOUR name was seen as the OP, If only other “Amber’s” would be so fortunate.
Thanks for your post.
Another underage girl was recovered alive in Dallas. Unfortunately her online hookup had used her for prositution.
I just get sick of hearing that it should be open season to rape children, because they dont have the life experience and emotional maturity to protect themselves. That it serves them right attitude turns my stomach.
Thats still bothering me. The idea that the rapist cant be blamed, because the child is just such a tempting little morsel, and bears sole responsibility for her own rape. Where did you come up with such a sick idea? I cant even wrap my mind around that, or believe that anyone, much less a FReeper, would openly admit to such a perverted belief system.
Except it doesn’t read like she went off with some stranger or rapist. It reads like she took off to some out of state relative. Now, how she got there is anyone’s guess.
Louisiana is the opposite direction from the supposed California creep.
