If not the kid, then who’s to blame? Many times, it doesn’t matter how good the parents are, teens don’t listen and think they can do whatever they want. To heck with the consequences until it’s too late.

I just get sick of hearing that it should be open season to rape children, because they don’t have the life experience and emotional maturity to protect themselves. That “it serves them right” attitude turns my stomach.

That’s still bothering me. The idea that the rapist can’t be blamed, because the child is just such a tempting little morsel, and bears sole responsibility for her own rape. Where did you come up with such a sick idea? I can’t even wrap my mind around that, or believe that anyone, much less a FReeper, would openly admit to such a perverted belief system.
