Lawyers representing former NBC host Matt Lauer are reportedly seeking to get the longtime anchor upwards of $30 million after he was fired this week over allegations of sexual misconduct.
Page Six reports that Lauer's team is seeking for NBC to pay the host for the remainder of his $20 million per year contract, which still had a year and a half left before he was fired.

The lawyers will get 49% minimum. Nice “Gig”
Nope...The contract will rule. He will get d to date and no more....and his attorneys know it.
What is 33% of $30 million?
The lawsuits against NBC could be many times that.
1. They knew about the abuse (sex toys, door button locks);
2. One victim (apparently raped) even saw a nurse on the premises;
3. They enabled him and did nothing to address those who complained.
Likely 20-30 women with lawsuits here and total $100m+.
There is always the possibility the women have already received SECRET “compensation” from NBC.
Apparently "Rape Buttons" are expensive.
So if you are a high profile news anchor and want out of your contract, sexually assault someone and you’re free as a bird with cash in hand.
How many years has he been earning $20+ million a year but he still needs $30 million after this disgrace?
Lol...Is that real? I can’t find it anywhere else? Maybe they are blocking it. Too late. :)
His lawyers are doing their jobs.
The clause is not a morality clause...but an “if you hurt the company” clause...you’re out on your a**, get paid to date and no more.
For a damned Democrat he sure is all interested in greenbacks in his own pocket.
If Congress is paying them off with taxpayer dollars (not to mention NPR/PBS), they sure as hell are doing the same thing in these private sector media corporations with shareholder dollars...Somewhere, the books would have to be cooked or else things would have been stinking to high heaven before this avalanche of reporting ensued.
mookabooker has many multiple charges of misconduct against him by co-workers and he wants 30 million to go away?
How about charging his sorry ass. Goose marching him off to jail for booking then prosecute to the fullest?
Tomorrow’s less prominent headline:
Women seeking $40 Million from Lauer for his abusive actions.
‘ya think....the floodgates about to open. Poor mattymatt.
Didn’t BOR settle out of his own pocket?
There are no contracts in blackmail, which is what I would guess this is. Several of the offices at 30 Rock have the remote locks. Lauer isn't the only pervert in this den.
