The endorsement at least some people have been waiting for in the race for Alabama's U.S. Senate seat has arrived, with NBA great and former Auburn basketball player Charles Barkley telling NBC News, "if I lived here, I'd vote for Doug Jones."
Barkley -- asked to weigh in on politics while in Auburn for the unveiling of a statue of him outside Auburn's basketball arena on the day of the annual Iron Bowl clash with Alabama in football -- told NBC's Vaughan Hillyard that Republican nominee Roy Moore should have been "disqualified" from the race long before recent allegations surfaced that he sexually assaulted teenage girls and behaved inappropriately around others in the 1970s.
"Everybody's going crazy over these sexual allegations, Roy Moore to me, when he brought in Steve Bannon should have been disqualified," Barkley said. "I don't understand. How can you have a guy who's running with a white separatist running for a political office?
"We've got a lot of black people in this state who are amazing people but to run a campaign with a guy as your chief advocate who is a white nationalist or white separatist, that should have disqualified Roy Moore way before this women stuff came up."

“Does anyone care what Charles Says?”
Apparently so. He has a forum on television news.
However, since he doesn’t have a vote in Alabama his point of view has zero relevance.
Said the guy arrested in 2008 for seeking out prostitutes. Barkley should know who the pervs ade.
Frankly, Ive been at a complete loss as to what I should think. Then, just this morning I got to thinking I wonder what some aged guy who bounces balls for a living thinks about Mr. Moore? Thank God he spoke up! I can rest easy the rest of today.
FUCB
Too bad, Chuck.
I missed Roy Moore’s white power manifesto?
"We've got a lot of black people in this state who are amazing people but to run a campaign with a guy as your chief advocate who is a white nationalist or white separatist, that should have disqualified Roy Moore way before this women stuff came up."
Oh look, not even one full day after The Washington Post ran this story fretting about how blacks in Alabama aren't energized for Doug Jones, you have Charles Barkley coming out and saying this. Could this be any more transparent?
Apparently there is more inside a basketball than between Charles Barkley’s ears.

...
My impression is the blacks in Alabama are too smart for the Democrats.
so he can toss a ball? i see.
this makes him a political pundit, expert to instruct us poor, deplorable, stupid voters
thanks, Charlie... oh yeah, could you come help me cast my vote in person? I can’t figure out how to sign my name without expert help like you
Difficult to see how Barkley could live a reasonably normal life if he supported Moore. BLM really gives him no choice here.

No Contest!

Wow, I’m so glad he shared that. Nothing is more important to me than the political opinion of a former professional sportball player.
This from a guy who was caught with a prostitute in a parking lot
On College GameDay Charles said Michigan was a lock to beat Ohio State. Final score OSU 31 Mich 20
Down thru the years Barkley has liked to fool people into thinking hes a republican. Well this puts that joke to rest. Hes just another loudmouth black athlete whos probably never voted in his life, or if he did it was for a democrat. Now if you want to talk about a black athlete with his head on straight, and who I might add is 100 times the athlete and man that Barkley is, I give the great Hershel Walker, who happens to be a lifelong republican and a big time President Trump supporter.
CB you know jack squat about who Roy Moore is so shut your ignorant trap.
