I saw Joe Barton’s nude selfie, and now I need therapy.

Maybe too far off topic, but this reminds me of fractured family that I experience. Some family members of mine are so deep into liberal horse blank, that they are really unpleasant to be around. So I rarely see such family members. And have no desire to see those family members.

These particular ones are liberal and in-your-face as opposed to Liberal who are nice people who can sincerely discuss issues and agree to disagree and not get into the politics. Some people, they’re just so annoying I don’t want to see them.

I have some other relatives who were just badly behaved not with politics but just badly behaved in other ways and are similarly unpleasant to be around. I really don’t like to spend time with people who are unpleasant.

Let’s make touch a nerve with some people but so be it. I don’t see any great reason to have great loyalty or Affinity to likeable people just because we share ancestry.

I grew up reading about how Johnny Unitas shoveled coal when he was a kid.

Johnny U played semi-pro ball on rocky fields.

He was my hero.

Then comes old fu Manchu Joe and the Jets.

I don’t feel sorry for Jets fans.

Auto correct is annoying. I meant to say don’t feel obligated to spend time just due to ancestry.

“Liberals who are nice people who can sincerely discuss issues and agree to disagree and not get into the politics.”

And unicorns, chimeras, mermaids, and other imaginary creatures.

I know a few liberals I can hold a decent conversation with. For the most part they are people I have known for several decades for other reasons. On-line, most libs are deranged rabid skunks.

And so my dad, who never met a sport he didn’t know a single thing about, bought season tickets to the New York Jets.

It wasn’t the most ridiculous idea at the time.

A good idea. But why not the Giants? Or the Yankees? The Jets winning tradition is spotty at best.

Funny thing about NY though. I was in the city during the Cleveland series this post season. Every local I talked to ... none would say they were a Yankees fan. All stated they were Mets fans. Odd....

The Jets were coming off a surprise trip to the AFC Championship Game, led by a brash new coach and a hotshot young quarterback with the poise and charisma of Joe Namath.

Heck I thought he was talking about Eric Mangini or Chad Pennington. The Jets have had a long line of next-great-things that never became next great things.

These were the years of “let’s go eat a goddamned snack” and still-endearing foot fetish jokes, before the true nature of Rex’s eventual Trump-shilling ineptitude had fully shown through.

Trump-shilling ineptitude? WTF?

Big Johnny U fan here too. In Baltimore in the late fifties and on, John Unitas was revered as few men were. I did get to meet him a few times.

P.S. Love your home age.

I didn't read the whole story but I think it was just an excuse to say, "I hate Trump".

That’s surprising about the Yankees. My relatives in NYC are huge Yankees fans.

“Nothing could have filled the void of regret during that car ride home.”

A lifetime of emotions coursed through me when I read that line.
