Today I had what the dentists call "scaling and planing". Next to that, being compared to antifa is a pleasure.

Interesting. It was more difficult to make picks this week due to the matchups. Yet, we see pretty good consensus developing.

Hey Impy/Bendy,
Why am I no longer on this ping list and what would it take to get me back on it?
"Hey Jim0216, it's you!" "Yup, I'm still here, feeling lucky as ever."

I tried to come up with pity comments about these games but my gosh there a lot of bad matchups this week. Many games between bad teams or good teams matched up against bad teams. Very few that look to be genuinely exciting. But I tried my best:
- Tennessee at Pittsburgh: Titans are just not good enough to win in Pittsburgh. Steelers win
- Arizona at Houston: Oh brother. I'm boyotting this stink fest. But I will pick a winner. In a stinkfest, advantage home team. Texans win
- Baltimore at Green Bay: Not quite a stinkfest but two teams not playing well. Advantage to home team. Packers win
- Detroit at Chicago: Lions are better but it's a division game, which is always perilous. Nevertheless, I'm sticking with the better team. Lions win.
- Jacksonville at Cleveland: I have nothing pithy to say. Jaguars win
- Kansas City at N.Y. Giants: Are there any actual good games this week? Maybe further down the list. In the meantime ... Chefs win
- L.A. Rams at Minnesota: Whaaaat? A good matchup? Could this be true? Okay, here goes. High flying offense of Rams goes in to face a top defense on the road. Tough one to predict but I'll say experience and home field play a role. Vikings win
- Tampa Bay at Miami: Oh, back to the stinkfests. Someone has to win so I say based on talent alone, Tampa eats a W. Bucs win
- Washington at New Orleans: Not competetive, I got nothing. Saints win
- Buffalo at L.A. Chargers: Bufallo wins
- Cincinnati at Denver: Broncos win at home
- New England at Oakland: Patriots win
- Philadelphia at Dallas: Finally another game that doesn't laugh at you when you try to guess who might win. A division rival between two depleted teams (both missing RBs, LBs, and LTs to injuries) but Eagles depth seems better, they are playing that way anyway. And they will this week too. Eagles win
- Atlanta at Seattle: In principle this should have been a good game. Maybe it will be but Atlanta O has been weak / inconsistent and going into Seattle against a strong but depleted D seems a tall order. Seattle wins

Doesn’t sound pleasant, Impy. My picks, for whatever good it’ll do:
Titans tonight
No Palmer, no Watson, Cards by default
Pack, not much offense here
Lions if Stafford plays well
Jags cause well, Browns
KC, and NE Ohio native Kareem Hunt runs wild
Rams to continue their success
Fins in this hurricane makeup game
Saints to keep going to 8-2
Lightning strikes in SoCal as Bolts win, somehow
Broncos cause as Kosciusko said, someone must win
Pats as Brady&Co have a Fiesta
Cowboys as we get our one good QB matchup, Carson Wentz vs Dak Prescott
Seahawks, cause this one’s for the birds
