Recent things we’ve watched on DVD and have enjoyed:

‘Firefly’ (Don’t miss this one!)
‘Justified’ (Not for the meek; LOTS of shooting!)
‘Homeland’
‘24’ (Starting Season 5; MUCH better than prior seasons)
‘Wallander’
‘Foyle’s War’ (SUPERB! WWII-related crimes in England)
‘The Father Brown Mysteries’
‘Miss Fischer Mysteries’
‘Lonesome Dove’
‘Jesse Stone’ series (Tom Selleck)

I also like ‘Blue Bloods’ we have a ‘Free’ Government TV station (ION) that plays ‘Blue Bloods’ ‘Law & Order’ (a number of versions) and ‘Criminal Minds’ in endless rotation. Never watched them in Real Time, but am enjoying a re-run from time to time.

There isn’t a single TV show on now that I go out of my way to watch, other than a police procedural such as Dateline or 24 Hours. I like to watch cooking shows - any of the ‘Cooks Country’ (America’s Test Kitchen) series are well worth the look if you like to cook - which I do!

I really liked “Anne With and E” and I’m looking forward to the next season. My kids (HS + college) like Sherlock more than I did, bit it was OK. Mind Games is interesting.

A yes to BB, I would add Hawaii 5-0, NCIS and NCIS NO, for camp we like Scorpion, any number of car shows on Velocity and the much maligned on this site DWTS(Good looking women, good music and fun dancing. What’s not to like for a diversion from the ugliness of politics for a couple of hours a week?)

I’m looking forward to the premier of “The Alienist,” in January. Hope it does justice to the novel.

Our system auto records Prime time every evening

Even though my wife has a few favorites, it is both revealing and a pleasure to go thru the prior nights recodings and hit delete for almost all of them. This season or last. We’ve often said there is little that even remotely interests us, not like The Good Old Daze when it was usually a debate on which of many programs to watch, the choices were there as the content was of interest

Now PT is little more than boring storylines with intentionally “diverse” token casts.

No thanks

I used to watch Blacklist but the last episode I watched got all “Black Lives Matter” so I’m done with them.

The Brave is now a favorite with good acting, good direction, and characters that work. It's kinda like Strike Back which was really good. SEAL's is okay, but Valor sucks with bad acting and weak writing/dialog. I'm surprised that Hollyweird is doing so many military shows. We're wondering where Last Ship will go this fall. Of course, that show is full of holes. The Captain goes on almost every shore incursion with a fire fight. Really?

We've lost interest in Lone Survivor because of their obvious liberal slant and preaching about the liberal cause du jour. Too bad, the initial internal WH politics was interesting, as well as the concept. Other than Hawaii Five O, we don't watch cop shows. We only like that because of the locale and the interaction between Mcgarrett and Dano. To bad for Kono and Chen for being greedy and being written out.

I like Blue Bloods but why do they feel the need to shove Whoopi Goldberg in our faces on some episodes? There are way better and less annoying lib actors and actresses out there. Looks to me like the show is trying to balance out Tom Sellek.
