there have been many great tv shows.

Let's look at the current state of affairs.

In no particular order.

Blue Bloods-just watch episode 6 of the recent season!

Gold Rush-yes reality tv, but at its best.

Game of Thrones-better than any movie I have ever seen.

I figured it was something like that. Just wait...goats and camels are being written into the story line as we speak.

NCIS, Blacklist, Major Crimes, Blindspot, Bull, The Brave, Seal Team, Wisdom Of The Crowd, SWAT, The Expanse, Westworld, Midnight Texas, The Strain (over now), GoT, Arrow, Flash, Legends, pretty much all the superhero shows, Ray Donovan, The Doctor Blake Mysteries, TWD, FTWD, Star Trek: Discovery, The Orville, Supernatural, Shannara Chronicles, Van Helsing, Superstition, Shooter, And many more...

Some of these really piss me off at times because they go into leftist SFW mode pushing a narrative rather than what they are supposed to do and that's to entertain. If they are going to push the damn Gay lifestyle so much they should also push the alternative pushing back on that lifestyle.

What is it about leftists that think everyone is at least bisexual. Are they really all that freakin' deviant? I really couldn't care less what they do in their homes and bedrooms. It's nonma (short for none of muh business)

Aunt Bee! Opie!!! Yes, we surely have fallen SO FAR. When the pendulum finally swings, do you think there will there be another Puritan Age?

You sound like a liberal elitist mocking the show for its wholesome qualities.

I do? That was not my intent. It was just nice to see Aunt Bee and Opie again. And I was wondering if it would swing back far because society really has degenerated beyond belief.

I sincerely apologize that you took it another way, ETL.

Sorry, but it appeared you were being sarcastic.

Anyway, thanks for clarifying. :)

Generally, agree. I've always liked NCIS, but not its spin offs. I think they lost a lot with the phase out of Tony and Ziva. Bull is surprisingly good, tho too SJW.

You’re welcome, ETL. Sometimes the written word doesn’t always convey the intent or emotion behind it. Maybe I should have worded it differently : )

At any rate, I wanted to share what I think is an interesting story I recall reading about some time ago.

A university conducted an experiment where they gathered an auditorium full of black girls from the ghetto (I think it was Harlem), and showed them clip after clip of the old TV shows like Donna Reed.

Beforehand, the college researchers posited that they expected hooting and hollering from the girls, and that they would mock with derision what they were looking at.

But alas, they were stunned when instead, their reaction was silence (they were mesmerized), followed by such comments as “I wish my man would treat me with respect like that.” The girls were completely stunned that such a world different from their own existed.

I thought about this and realized, how would these girls ever had known anything other than their reality? They sure didn’t see it on their TV’s!

I hope that kind of illustrates what I had hoped to convey...that as a society, we really have degenerated beyond anything I could have ever fathomed. It would be God-sent if we could return to those moral days of yester-year.

I like Blue Bloods. Unfortunately, the 1 hour show now runs 30 minutes of commercials.

There is a sweet new family-friendly comedy sitcom called Me, Myself and I with a terrific cast and great writing, starring Bobby Moynihan, John Laroquette and Jaleel White (the guy who played Urkel), plus some talented newcomers. It is about the same guy over a 50-year span of his life. Hope they don't mess it up, because so far it has been very good.

Thanks for the further clarification. Looks like I couldn't have been more wrong about your intent with that first post. In any case, I'm much relieved. :)

Crazy thing is, in real life, both Andy Griffith and Ron Howard are extreme left wingers, even going so far as to appear in a television commercial pushing Obama's hard left "Change" message. I think R.Howard produced and directed it.

I only have OTA signal so choices are limited, but I’m not directly supporting espn or Disney.

NCIS-until Mindys husband completely destroys it.

BULL-Jason Bull finally lost a case. Good show.

Big Bang Theory-still good. I know people just like the characters.

Supernatural-started watching last season.

Hells Kitchen/Top Chef-prefer the top chef show. Love seeing good cooks do their thing.

Weekends are X Files and Haven reruns and Murdoch Mysteries.

“Lucifer” is much fun. “Dark Matter”, “The Expanse” are really good, too.

I have Fixer Upper on for background noise right now.
That is a great show.

As we all know.

Try Longmire too. Really like the main characters and it’s always a great day at the red pony

Hubby and I have different taste in entertainment than most Americans, I think. So, this is what we watch:

Walking Dead, Talking Dead, Big Bang Theory, Young Sheldon, Gotham, Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency, Game of Thrones, Poldark, Property Brothers.
