Thanks for remembering. Happy Marine Corps Birthday to all Marines! My son left for boot camp on 11/12/2003. His trip to San Diego got pushed back a couple days, because they would not send him on Marine Corps birthday or on Veterans Day. Now he’s 33, and this afternoon we are going to see his 6 year-old daughter’s first grade class present an program to honor Veterans....It should be fun!

    Happy Birthday, Marine!
Semper Fi!
(You beat me by 10 minutes. I took too long trying to post the pdf of the Commandant’s birthday message.)

My son took me to the Birthday Ball put on by the 1st Marine Logistics Group, Camp Pendleton. There were over 100 tables in the room, and each held 12 people. It was beautiful. The speaker was Bradley Kasal of Fallujah hell house fame. He’s stationed at Pendleton now. I wish everyone could experience a Birthday Ball at least once in their lives.
