Leigh Corfman says she was 14 years old when an older man approached her outside a courtroom in Etowah County, Ala. She was sitting on a wooden bench with her mother, they both recall, when the man introduced himself as Roy Moore.
It was early 1979 and Moore — now the Republican nominee in Alabama for a U.S. Senate seat — was a 32-year-old assistant district attorney. He struck up a conversation, Corfman and her mother say, and offered to watch the girl while her mother went inside for a child custody hearing.
“He said, ‘Oh, you don’t want her to go in there and hear all that. I’ll stay out here with her,’ ” says Corfman’s mother, Nancy Wells, 71. “I thought, how nice for him to want to take care of my little girl.”

There is absolutely no way to plausibly substantiate the accusations unless the judge allows folks to believe them.
If Moore doesn't call a press conference within a few hours, and forcefully deny the allegations at that press conference, then he must step aside and let another republican run in his place. We cannot lose this Senate seat.

This is a lie and is not true at all.
According to the Washington Compost fake news article, the alleged victim, among other things, attempted suicide, was a drug user, has been divorced three times and declared bankruptcy three times. All that is in addition to waiting 39 years (!!!!) before going public. Also, keep in mind that Roy Moore has run statewide races at least four times (I think - twice for the state Supreme Court and twice for Governor) and the alleged victim and her mother remained silent throughout. Note also how quickly Turtle McConnell jumped into this and called on Moore to drop out (”if true”).

I agree that issued statements while staying out of public does him no service, but he has issued a statement that the accusations are false, and fake news.
However, it would be better for him to stand up at a news conference and call each and every ACCUSER a liar, by name.
