I think it’s a great result. Dems have a couple of insignificant wins that will be blown so largely out of proportion that they spend 9 months celebrating and set themselves up for blindsiding losses next year.

Losing the governor's race in VA wasn't all that surprising, but potentially losing control of one chamber when it didn't even seem to be in play is a bad night. There were a couple of special elections (state races, I think) in GA in districts that Trump won that flipped to D, too. Some definite warning signs tonight.

Some good news is that unlike any other republican politician I have ever seen, President Trump is clearing the field for more republican victories. He has delivered solid damage to the broadcast networks with the NFL protest. Jeff Sessions has closed slush funds in the government funding left wing groups. Trump pulled out of the Paris treaty, which cuts funding to left wing groups. The Saudi purge cut off the funds to American politicians. These things have just started to have effect.

Notice, also, the RINOs retiring. They know the game has changed.

In 2018 we will have a significant money advantage and an ideological advantage. Some democrats will probably be trying to stay out of jail, and the democrat brand image will be trash.
