A 28-year-old mother from Wisconsin is facing felony charges after she decided to strap her nine-year-old son to the roof of her minivan. According to Fox 6, Amber Schmunk had just bought a plastic pool and did not think it would fit inside her vehicle. Instead of getting rope and tying it down, she thought it would be a good idea to strap her son to the roof to hold the pool down.
Concerned motorists called police, who tracked the woman down at her sister's house. She told police that "she believed it was OK as her father let her do things like that when she was that age." Police didn't buy that excuse and arrested her, charging her with second degree recklessly endangering safety, which is a felony that carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.

That’s a lot of it. But some are simply just as PC as the Left. You’ll find them applauding as statues to Lee or the Battle Flag are pulled down. Michael Medved, Nikki Haley come to mind. They must find Trump and General Kelly insufficiently progressive.

My dad had to haul hay one day and decided instead of making two loads he would just really load up once. Then he became concerned the hay would fall off the truck so he had my sister (who was about 9) ride with the hay and the idea was she would yell if the hay started to fall off so he could stop. The hay and my sister fell off the truck into the road. He was going slow down a dirt road; so no harm done to my sister- but he sure had to answer to my mother about his wonderful plan.
I just read that she is from a town close to us. Argh!
The back of a pick up truck is different than the top of a minivan strapped to the inside of a pool.
When I was a kid, I rode in the back of trucks all the time. It was legal back then.

My dad used to let us ride on the running boards of a car he had, going down Lemoyne Ave in Biloxi. This was the 70s. No one ever stopped him or pulled him over, or, God forbid, threatened to turn him in to child protective services. We loved it.
And I know exactly about the relationship between a longtime, esteemed black employee of a white family. I saw it a lot in my early years when in Vicksburg, with my daddy’s family. There was a real relationship in many cases beyond just employer/ employee.
