Hoffman does like girls. When I worked on Tootsie, he was very flirtatious but I really liked him. But then I don’t consider flirtation to be harassment.

She was offended by his behavior because she wasn’t attracted to him. Meanwhile, if Warren Beatty (who in the article she was drawn to) had flirted the same way, she would have been thrilled.
When you get down to it, a lot of “sexual harassment” is just flirtation from a guy the women disdains. And yet, how is a guy going to find a women who wants him, if he doesn’t approach a lot of women and take a few risks?

Are there some women who didn’t have to go through these confusing conflicted feelings and attentions from adult men when they were children? This girl was barely underage but she was underaged. I was younger and more stupid/naive. I was tending up reading her diary because I wrote and said so many similar things in my day. It was too close to home.
Children / innocent teens DONT UNDERSTAND THE HUGE GAP IN WISDOM between the older adult and themselves. They just don’t have the context to see the two are not equals and that one is CHOOSING TO BREAK LAWS TO SEDUCE AND ABUSE THE OTHER ONE.
I want this to stop. I suppose it never will. But I want to protect our young ones a bit better. I’m protecting mine so that they don’t go through years of being an adult’s toy.
