In the video, her dad (left) lets her play with the phone and shows its various functions. That broke company policy, she said - adding that her dad accepted 'full responsibility'

Why would anyone hate the father for the stupidity of the daughter?

Apple should just name their phone the “us2.”
As in they once again break ground with features the rest of the market has had for 1-2 years (and sometimes longer).

Not very bright on her father’s part - or hers. This was apparently a pre-release test device full of software still under development. He deserved to get fired, and she’s old enough to understand her part in his firing.
I guess he can always pull a Kevin Spacey, come out as gay, and be absolved of all his sins.

Daughter on visit to Apple engineer Dad gets a hold of his test iPhone X prior to release and YouTube blogs about the iPhone X and reveals things in violation of his non-disclosure agreement. Apple fires him. She is contrite. . . but he was the one who allowed her to do it, and takes full responsibility. Oops. PING!

Tough call. Apparently, he was in hot water just for letting her daughter take video in the campus cafeteria! Probably there are iron-clad rules in place and other engineers would be watching to see how Apple lowered the boom. Apple’s safest move was to do what they did to keep their secrets and their engineers on their toes.
But I would have reviewed the footage, weighed the risk of spilled secrets against the gain of positive PR, and dealt an administrative punishment and fine. I’m sure I’d make a poor tech manager.

Poor little snowflake, thinking that her life only exists if it’s blasted all over every “Social Media” outlet. Too bad she probably won’t learn her lesson from this incident...

I guess Apple doesn’t like anyone giving reviews except for their loyal, faithful “independent” reviewers who always gush on about how Apple’s stuff is the greatest thing since sliced bread.
