I realize this story is just about the Apple online store, but I went to the local AT&T Wireless to pre-order one for my daughter over my lunch break, and they said the only model sold out as of 1:00pm EST was the 256GB version in Black, all three other models were still available would ship in the initial run (Nov 2 to Nov 10).

Now I suppose they could have been lying to me, but I don't seem much reason as I can just cancel the order and get a Samsung if they suddenly say it won't ship for 10 weeks.

If Apple didn’t sell out a new phone, the hater would declare it a failure.

If Apple does sell out their new phone, they must have cheated or be lying in some way.

The parallels to the way liberals see Trump are obvious, but part of the delusion is denial in the face of truth, so expect the Apple haters to attack me personally (another trait shared with liberals, when losing, attack your opponent personally).

Well, I finally got an iPhone SE 32GB at AT&T Prepaid. It seems like a very capable little device.

FWIW - Just got back from China. Seems like every young Chinese has an iPhone.

Saw iPhone X ads plastered everywhere.

Also walked by the huge Apple stores in Shanghai and Beijing. They were packed with people.

The Samsung and the Chinese brand stores (huawei, oppo, vivo, etc) looked pretty empty. (saw a lot of ads for them as well).

I looked at the prices..

It was $999 for a 64Gb iPhone X

or

$1148 for a 256Gb iPhone X.

Taxes were another $83.

You can add Apple Care too for an additional $200.

The iPhone 8 has the same processing chip without the face scanning software and it’s $300 cheaper.

The way I see it what do these iPhones do that my current iPhone cannot? Furthermore, you can buy a Macbook Pro for the same amount of money.

I will wait until my iPhone 6 dies first before I consider another iPhone. I am very happy with my current phone that is paid off.

Don't drop your iPhone X: Without AppleCare warranty, repairing the all-screen device will set you back $279. Other damages out of warranty will cost $549.

In other countries, iPhone X repair without AppleCare+ (via MacRumors):

- Australia: $419 for screen repairs, $819 for other damage

- Canada: $359 for screen repairs, $709 for other damage

- Germany: €321 for screen repairs, and €611 for other damage

- United Kingdom: £286 for screen repairs, £556 for other damage

Those repair costs are obscene. And to get 2 years of warranty via AppleCare will set people back another $199 on top of the iPX price of between $1100 and $1400. The purchase price is high enough, so why not include the 2 year warranty with that obscene price?

I may get back to you on the other "contentious" posts regarding the Limbaugh "free advertising". BTW, aren't you also doing "free" advertising for Apple here? FR should look to charging you for every post you make regarding Apple stuff.
