instead of genetically altering the pigs, why not just feed them accordingly to not have them gain so much fat and or have them be more active rather than small pen/cage to whatever they usually do for mass produced pigs?
plenty of ways other than messing up genetics since that usually leads to other problems for the animal and those who consume it.

Whenever I see the words “low fat” on ANYTHING I run the other way!

Just like they ruined marbling in beef. It’s fat that gives meat the great taste and tenderness.

US pork has been trending leaner, drier and blander for several decades now. I’m surprised there are enough people who want this.

Radio guys were all over this this AM.
Claimed Low Fat Pig was actually an alias, along with Sum Ting Wong and Wee Too Low.

If we read the book of Enoch, you get the idea that the fallen angels were editing the DNA of animals and people to make monsters. The women learned witchcraft and other evil spells. Some speculate the demigods worshiped by Greeks and Romans were real Chimera's bred by the Nephilim.
Every story about us engineering soldiers to fight without food and water or run faster and bleed less speaks to the end getting closer. All we need is fake food manufactured in a petri dishes to change our DNA. The unforeseen mutations are the ones that always get ya. They already grow pigs with human hearts. Does that mean we are cannibals now?

Pass. Low fat is a scam. Low fat is UNHEALTHY. Sugar is the ultimate enemy of eating healthy.
High fat diets REDUCE cholesterol. High fat diets NORMALIZE blood pressure.
Bring back the fat!

I’m making cheesy cream of potato soup right now. I am going to go grab some bacon to fry so I can sprinkle it on top later.

A strip of cooked bacon is only 44 calories. Just eat 2 and not 17.

Chinese bacon.
Now, with MORE melamine!
(Let's see if the mutation makes the pigs better reservoirs for fatal high path avian flu virions.)

Except for the fact that saturated fat isn’t the enemy. Unhydrogenated lard is wonderful for cooking, unlike Crisco.
