In twin speeches — one in July, where he issued a call to bipartisanship in the Senate, and another in Philadelphia this past week, where he railed against “half-baked, spurious nationalism” — Mr. McCain has taken on both his colleagues and President Trump. In the process, his friends and fellow senators say, he has carved out a new role for himself on Capitol Hill: elder statesman and truth-teller.

We know damn well that if Juan was President of The United States, you'd be ripping him to shreds on every piece of legislation he proposed.
The sad thing is, McCainez is too self-absorbed and too self-worshipping and too self-aggrandizing and too Trump-hating to realize it.
Too bad the Slimes and the Compost can’t get glioblasomas of their own.
McCain has spent his entire political career making nice to the mainstream media. And we all remember how they reciprocated when he ran for POTUS, don’t we ? Alas, he didn’t learn then and never will. He will pass to his eternal reward as he’s been all along. Maybe he wants a nice eulogy and obit (like this article) from the NYT/WaPo and the networks.
This is one pathetic ode.
Hopefully they’ll soon carve out a mausoleum space for him.
