Seahawks DE Michael Bennett: Jerry Jones Threat to Sit Kneelers ‘Reminded Me of the Dred Scott Case’
Breitbart ^ | October 18, 2017 | Daniel J. Flynn

Seattle Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett compared Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones’s decision to sit players who do not stand for the national anthem to the Dred Scott Supreme Court decision. “It reminded me of the Dred Scott case: You’re property, so you don’t have the ability to be a person first,” Bennett told reporters Wednesday. “I think that in this generation, I think that sends the wrong message to young kids and young people all across the world that your employer doesn’t see you as a human being, they see you as a piece of property, and if that’s the case, then I don’t get it. I just don’t get why you don’t see us as human beings first.”

Well, that means you have to put in forty hours a week...possibly have to agree to drug-testing regularly....and actually use knowledge from the college years for real work. All that fake class stuff paying off now?

"DUMB AS A ROCK"

If playing in the NFL is like working on an antebellum slave plantation, why is he demanding Kaepernick be signed for a NFL team?

Michael Bennett says Colin Kaepernick resolution needed before more talks with owners

I’m surprised anything “reminded” Bennett of something else. Those NFL guys take a lot of shots to the head.

My first reaction - how does an clueless idiot like Bennett even know about the Dred Scott case unless his agent or someone pumped him up.

It should be obvious by now

The players own pro football by virtue of their skin color and the utter weakness of our nation over any realistic appraisal of black human behavior

Goodell and the owners and the few decent players are held hostage by these hulking low IQ thug children

It’s amazing to watch unfold

I’m going to go out on a limb and say that if Dred Scot had been paid as well as the NFL players, for the same amount of work, and had the same living conditions, he wouldn’t have run away, or sued for his freedom.

Dumberer. He made both statements in the same day.

Cupcake Kaepernick’s BLM manager prepared one statement, Bennett’s handler prepared the other.

He doesn’t know/remember what he said by now.

I wonder what my abandonment of the NFL after 60+ years might remind him of.

Michael Bennett tells the world he’s an idiot because he doesn’t understand rights or the Dred Scott case.

Ah, yes. Michael, “The Offsides Machine”, Bennett is my go-to guy when I’m looking for some historical perspective to apply to today’s issues.

Michael does not have a clue as to what he is talking about. He should grow up and act like an informed adult.

Does that make him property.

In a way I guess but its more like indentured servitude. You enter into an agreement VOLUNTEERALLY.

You can quit any time you snapper head and then you can be "Free at last."

Except for the fact that Dred Scott was returned to slavery and Mr. Bennett and the crew are continuing to play a game and collect million plus dollar salaries, yes, this is just like the Dredd Scott case.

Well, Goodell wants the NFL expand to Europe and Mexico. The opportunity is here now, he can take them all with him. Since these asshats are so unified about this issue, they can be unified over and down there.

Meanwhile the owner of the Jacksonville team says Trump is upset because he was not allowed to buy an NFL team. Neither was Rush some years ago. Well, they have their own little fiefdom all to themselves now. A word for Mr. Kahn, allegedly you support this nonsense issue i.e. the black lives matter scam as a first amendment right. Well, both Trump and Rush have a first amendment right to state their objecting, think about it.

Michael, No one cares what you knuckle draggers think. People didn’t watch you for your intellect. You still don’t have a good self-worth even after football. You demand to be respected for your intelligence but you won’t get that.

Trump doesn’t strike me as the kind of guy to get upset. More like the guy who gets even with the attitude that revenge is a meal best served cold.

Employees have no constitutional right to alienate a business’ customer base, damaging the business that employs both them and their co-workers, not to mention the owners who have taken the financial risks to create that business.
