Since Monday home of @MandalayBay security guard, Jesus Campos, guarded by private security-- today armed. #LasVegasShooting
Begs the question why he’s being called a “security guard” w/o certifications from the NPILB.
Aside from why his boss sees the need to guard the alleged guard at his home...
Or maybe he isn’t a gun dealer and launders money for someone else, effectively acting as a middle man.
If I were in that line of work, I would keep a very low profile and have lots of personal protection.
As far as I know, all of the guns purchased by Paddock were done so legally and traceable to his name. Is that the way a person involved in illegal gun sales normally procures his weapons?
If Paddock was laundering money, he was probably just taking a cut. He wasn’t involved in the underlying illegal activity, most likely.
the gambling parts of the story jumped out at me too..this guy was supposedly a high roller...some stories saying hed play 100,000 a night...some even said 100,000 an hour...yet they told of him bragging about winning a 20,000 jackpot?...huh?...spending `100 grand to win 20 grand is ‘winning”....yah..w/e

Nevada has a separate code for proprietary guards, those hired and working for the employer only on the employer’s property. Been a while since I read the code....do not take this as gospel but they may not need the same registration as a “contract” guard. Easy lookup in Nevada state code...I’ll poke around.
Bingo.
Gambling was money laundering.
But what was the money source? The real one?
Reno 911
I loved that show.

Yes, it was the only reality show that wasnt edited to make the cast look good. They just portrayed those Reno cops as they really were. :-)
Same here.

Wynn was quick to say that no one rode the service elevator without a security escort.
Was Wynn telling us that in addition to a bellhop that helped Paddock to his room with bags and such, there was a security guard present on that elevator also?
What was the timeframe the bags or suitcases or whatever were moved? On the 25-28th when he was not occupying a room but someone allegedly used a entry card to access the room? Was it on the 29th? 30th?
Are any other security guards from the Mandalay under ‘house arrest’?
Was he an accomplice? Was he an employee of the hotel?
Pray tell, just who are armed guards protecting Campos from? There must be something we don’t know yet.
These are the guards who were supposed to be watching Pollard’s house that was robbed.
New day. New kerfuffle. Welcome to Vegas.
many questions could be answered if we knew the motive, and yes, the authorities do know the motive but probably will let us just swill around in the angry white gun nut gunk....
There are armed security and unarmed security, two different types. Does this database cover both types?
There must be something we dont know yet
Gee, you think?
Jesus Campos was not a security guard, he was a customer enrichment representative...No license needed.
Not sure. Good question.
I’m a citizen journalist - as are you. I point the real journalists in a direction. Up to them to do the work from there.

You are aware that Steve Wynn is NOT the owner of Mandalay Bay don’t you?
Casino mogul Steve Wynn says Las Vegas shooter would have triggered alarms at his hotels

Las Vegas casino mogul Steve Wynn identified Las Vegas as a target city nearly two years ago, and he told Fox News anchor Chris Wallace on Sunday that he increased spending on security at HIS hotels by tens of millions of dollars in attempt to identify and preempt any kind of terroristic or violent threat.
Wynn suggested that the training and steps implemented at his properties would have set off alarm bells if Las Vegas shooter Stephen Paddock had tried to launch his mass murder scheme from one of them.
The database you linked is great. Just rying to see to whether another license list is needed or not.
Campos seems to be unarmed security, if he was security at all.
