The Cowboys have knelt for the last time this season.
Wide receiver Dez Bryant revealed Friday he and his teammates will stand with their hands over their hearts during the national anthem for the rest of the season, the Star-Telegram reported. The Cowboys, known as “America’s Team,” made headlines Monday night when they knelt as a team — including owner Jerry Jones — before rising for the anthem at AT&T Stadium in Dallas.

Unless every person on every team does the right thing this weekend this is meaningless. All it will take is one to kneel. This is an NFL problem, not a player problem. The NFL needs to fix this. 100% compliance!

Lastly and perhaps most importantly, we ask the forgiveness of US veterans, thier families and those who are currently serving. While there is no apology possible for the disrespect we showed you, we vow that the NFL will no longer take money from the Department of Defense in exchange for appearing patriotic and supportive of our armed forces. Instead, we will merely fulfill our duty as citizens to be truly patriotic.”

We will not forget what the Cowboys and others have done the past three games. They need to go to Arlington National Cemetery and beg forgiveness from those who paid the ultimate sacrifice.
America’s Team is no longer America’s anything. The Cowboys willingly and deliberately gave that up. They used to be my favorite team. Now, they’re reprehensible and ungrateful in my eyes.

The Trump thing is their only way out - other than an honest apology, that is - and they're hoping to gull enough of their fans to give them a soft landing. The blatant and deliberate disrespect to flag and anthem never happened, we are told, it doesn't count, and the people it offended don't count either. We beg to differ.

I didn't care for that group kneeling thing last week, but at least you had the respect to do it before the playing of the national anthem.
This is even better, and as it should be.
In other words, Trump won. If it was popular to take a knee, then they would continue doing it. If America cheered them on, they would continue doing it.
