This had to hurt. NFL ticket sales down 18% down this week.
Last Sunday over 200 NFL players knelt during the US national anthem on Gold Star Mothers Day.
StubHub announced a 10% discount in NFL tickets this week.
And now this…
NFL ticket sales are down 18% compared to last year at this time.
The Washington Examiner reported:
The National Football League is feeling the impact of the “Trump Effect.”
Ticket sales since he called on team owners to fire players who take a knee to protest the National Anthem have cratered.
The online ticket reseller TickPick told Secrets that sales have dropped 17.9 percent, far more than the usual Week Three fall.

- 17.9 percent decrease in NFL orders this week compared to the previous week.
- Last year the drop was 10.8 percent in orders on Monday & Tuesday following Week Three games.
“We have seen a massive decrease in NFL ticket purchases this past week in comparison to years past. Week 3 seems to usually have less ticket orders than week 2, but this year ticket purchases are down more than 7 percent from this time last year,” said TickPick’s Jack Slingland.
Several Chargers players torched their shirts and jackets this week.

you’d have to break it down team by team to see the effect...if ticket resales for the NY Giants, Cowboys, Denver, Packer are down 17% that’s a huge indicator...teams like the Jets, Dolphins can’t move tickets..
empty seats do hurt the owners as i believe on average fans pay $75 per person on stadium concessions...

Maybe you ‘swerved’ through the telecast at the time the stadium was being evacuated for the rain delay. Otherwise, I don’t see what you’re talking about.

Make millions per year, and are going to in effect, fire themselves.
And to vendors, concession workers, ticket takers and parking attendants who are going to be out of a job. Goodell only needed to enforce the rules.
Yes some Season Ticket Holders purchased their tickets before all this controversy.
Instead of selling or giving away their tickets... They are burning them so that no one will be in their seats all season long.
Even if the vast majority of tickets are purchased by season ticket holders. If the available tickets are down 18% in one week, then that is significant.

When I look carefully at the guy’s right hand, it looks like the fingers aren’t even positioned in a way that they can be gripping something like a rod or pole. I think someone photoshopped it by showing the pole being held by an open hand. LOL.
The Jets have been so bad for the last couple of years that they already had a problem with fans dropping their season tickets and refusing to make any more payments on their personal seat licenses (PSLs). Basically, they were daring the team to sue them to get the rest of the money they owed for the PSLs.
