Playboy founder Hugh M. Hefner, the pipe-smoking hedonist who revved up the sexual revolution in the 1950s and built a multimedia empire of clubs, mansions, movies and television, symbolized by bow-tied women in bunny costumes, has died at age 91.
Hefner died of natural causes at his home surrounded by family tonight, Playboy said in a statement.

Considering how vulgar popular culture has become over the past several decades, vintage Playboy magazines from the 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s were as tasteful as nude European paintings from 18th century, by comparison.
And at least the true “Playboy man” was supposed to be more macho than a metrosexual. Stylish, yes, but still rugged. The kind of guy who would knock a tranny’s teeth out.
