Something is totally screwed up in the NFL when a player is rebuked for standing for the National Anthem !

Tomlin looks like a real creep. There are lots of places in the world these whiners could live, since they are so miserable in our country.

Looks like the UK media has to report on the U.S. because the U.S. Lying Leftist media are absent mentally and physically.

Tomlin is just as big of a racist as the rest of them.

His job is to win games, not play them....................

The head coach's attitude is upsetting. If he really didn't want controversy, he would've told those who weren't going to stand to stay in the locker room, and the rest of the team go out on the field. The coach in essence told his players they couldn't go out on the field and stand for the pledge and the national anthem, and only one player defied him.

I'm going to go where we should be very careful about treading. Is the racism of favoring the position of blacks by a black coach acceptable? Speaking out against a Veteran who respects the flag is not acceptable.

He served three tours in Afghanistan as an Army Ranger!!!! No one (not even the “coach”, who had no right to be angry wth him) should have expected him to do anything other than he did!!!!

Even if one has never served the military—as long as one is an able-bodied American citizen—ons should STAND for the National Anthem, hand on heart, and SING (or pretend to sing) it, whenever it is played!!!!

Save kneeling for penitence before God and proposing marriage! REALLY!!!!

He is an Army Vet of course he stood up.

Non combatants are painfully unaware the feelings of most combat vets for their action for their country. If an Army vet sports a Combat Infantryman's Badge or a Marine sports a Combat Action Badge, these men can be assumed to be the most vociferous in defense of their brothers in arms and their countrymen.

E in the Ranger Creed:

Energetically will I meet the enemies of my country. I shall defeat them on the field of battle for I am better trained and will fight with all my might. Surrender is not a Ranger word. I will never leave a fallen comrade to fall into the hands of the enemy and under no circumstances will I ever embarrass my country.

Under no circumstances... Some things are more important than a football team. Three combat tours, a bronze star and a Ranger tab fall into that category. They suggest the young captain understands “100% participation” in a way that would make Mike Tomlin fill his pants with the same material that’s in between his ears.

Even most of the New England PATRIOTS knelt for the National Anthem. (NOT Tom Brady and several others)!!!!

https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/look-patriots-players-get-booed-at-home-for-kneeling-during-the-national-anthem/

They got a well-deserved chorus of BOOS from the fans!!!! Perhaps they should change their name to the New England Traitors!!!!

Any professional sports player who kneels for the National Anthem richly deserves to be called a son-of-a-bitch!!!! PHOOEY to all of them!!!!

Racial injustice based on what? Colin Kaepernek & his Muslim girlfriend’s support of Black Lives Matter! These insipid football players are backing a racist terrorist group that promotes the killing of INNOCENT police officers!

NFL shouldn’t shite where it eats!

An excellent point was just made by mware on another thread.... "If you are going to buy a Villanueva jersey, don’t get the NFL one get his jersey from when he played for ARMY #82. That way the money goes to the NCAA, and if you go to the Army website they get the money." See post 9 at this link…. https://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/3588968/posts

It’s a real shame when a talented coach like Tomlin loses his courage (much less, his mind) by supporting this crap.
