Are football fans voting with their TVs?
As the National Football League struggles to explain this seasons downturn in viewer ratings, 34% of American Adults say they are less likely to watch an NFL game because of the growing number of protests by players on the field. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 12% are more likely to watch, while 50% say the protests have no impact on their viewing decisions. The 12% who pretend they are “more likely” to watch are just shills for leftist politics. They would not watch the NFL in any case.
Then 66% are unwilling to defend the flag
They really thonk the military is a group of mercenaries of sort. On hire to defend the flag as if it’s not the job of a civilian to do so
Wimps
Let them get real jobs.
I stopped cold turkey after 50 years last year and I’m never going back.
Does anyone here think that the higher-ups in the NFL just may be stupid? Businesses always make dumb decisions, some more costly than others. Market has been saturated. 2 teams in LA? They’ve already got USC. That’s plenty for their lifestyle. Throw in pink October, sideline reporters with boobs, and Mr. Kapernick, you end up with inmates running the asylum.
Let’s not forget the concussions.
Not.
And the overall thuggishness of a good number of players.
I sold my PSLs and Season Tickets after 40 yrs as a Bears fan. I pity the poor sucker who bought them.
Professional football is still on TV coverage? Sorry, I missed something here....
I have been borderline less likely to follow...
The reason is simple.
Can’t a guy have a single day of the week when he’s not flooded, drowning in politics? Makes me and many others ready to go live in the woods or something!
No, it is the presidential election and debates. Oh wait, that was last year.
Much ado about nothing. Just gives credence to the unAmerican among us.
The Media is blowing this up.
I’ve yet to see a listing of teams with members who are protesting.
No NFL in this house!
I don’t miss it.
Agree. I actually never watched it (because I always thought it was kind of boring) but I used to keep up on it and knew who was doing what. Now I honestly don’t care, and I don’t hear many other people talking about it either.
The NFL has to be destroyed, in order to save the NFL.
No NFL in my house. My husband is enjoying College Football.
