Entirely aside from the merits of the individual new phones, Samsung torpedoed their own boat with how they handled the rash of fires with their last flagship phones - first pretending it didn’t work, then initially demanding that phone owners hold them harmless and sign an NDA to get a replacement phone, then having the ‘fixed’ phones go on fire and Samsung again initially demanding people sign a quitclaim and an NDA to get a replacement phone yet again. Talk about tone deaf.

The best part was that the first batteries were defective units from a Chinese manufacturer... fine, it happens. Then the replacement batteries were manufactured in house ***by Samsung*** and they turned out to be even worse.

No wonder nobody wants a Note 8.

It’s a phenomenon called “Winner take all.”

I owned a note 7. I loved that phone despite the battery issues. Just got my note 8. So far it’s excellent. My only compliant is the limited number of colors I could get it in, but a case fixes that.

One company is from a nation we are protecting from nuclear attack, the other is gifting the ACLU cash to attack you.

So is FR supposed to be all warm n glow because China basically funneled more cash into the left’s pockets this week?

I just got back from the Apple Store this morning to get a pair of AirPods and it was a LOT less crowded than previous iPhone release days. The sales associate explained that the iPhone 8 could be ordered online for delivery today which I guess hasn’t been the case before.
