A passenger aboard a recent Jet2 flight from Spain to England saw something no traveler ever wants to see on a plane: a beer in the cockpit.
Steve Lewis, of Northamptonshire, England, says he was “shocked” upon landing at Birmingham airport and seeing a can of Stella Artois sitting between the pilots.
“The plane had landed and the seatbelt light came on. I stood up to get my suitcase and as I did the cockpit door opened and I noticed the can,” said Lewis, according to The Metro. “I turned to my partner Steven, who didn’t believe me at first, but then he noticed you could clearly see the Stella

I wonder whether Steve and his “partner” Steven are as desperate for attention as so many others from their demographic. Was the beer from after landing? Was the beer from a flight attendant who gave it to them to spit their tobacco? There are a lot of innocent explanations, and a single beer can would not freak me out even if the pilot drank it while flying.
I have been told that. It seems the more relaxed you are the better.
The only time I ever crashed was when the pilot was sober.

When pilots of flights I’m on bring a plane in 10 minutes ahead of schedule I always “tip” the pilot a well made cigar for a good flight. I suspect something similar is at play here. Pilots are human. If it was a half empty bottle of Tito ‘s, I’d be concerned.

I believe the pilot and co-pilot had a bet on how smoothly the pilot could land the plane. The pilot bet that he wouldn’t slop one drop of beer.

Personally, I never “drink & drive”.
I always do my drinking before I drive to avoid spilling the beer in my lap.
